Last night, we finally ordered take-out from Babylon Gyros, our absolutely incredible local Mediterranean restaurant here in Richmond Kentucky. For the price...THEY LOAD YOU UP. Our order came with two containers of their home-made tzatziki sauce with each sandwhich, 3 flatbreads each and enough meat for at least 2-3 large sammies, AND THEN SOME!!! Their lamb was super tender and delicious. By far, the best gyro that I have EVER eaten, anywhere!!! $12 comes w. rice and large serving of olive hummus. INCREDIBLE. CLOSED ON SUNDAYS MORE::: I was also incredibly impressed to see Ale8 on their drink options. <----My Favorite Kentucky brewed drink!!! Can not go wrong there. I was very happy to see that they are serving Dine-In!!! Despite these troubling times and many many changes to this New World since March, esp. to our dining options, things are starting to get better for all of us and eating at Babylon Gyros was a GREAT START. -tw

Easily one of the BEST spots in the entire state for shawarma, gyros, and authentic Middle Eastern flavor. The chicken shawarma is juicy and perfectly seasoned, the lamb gyro melts in your mouth, and the garlic and tahini sauces? Unreal. You can tell the owner puts his heart into every plate — this isn’t fast food, it’s real, home-style cooking done right. People drive in from surrounding towns just to eat here — and once you try it, you’ll understand why. This spot is putting Kentucky on the map when it comes to Middle Eastern street food. Whether you’re from Lexington, Berea, Winchester, or beyond — Babylon Gyros is worth the trip. Don’t sleep on this place!

Sorry for ruining the high review rate, but cant do it other way. The woman who works there is 10/10, really nice, smiling, helpful and hard working. Food is good, really large portions for a decent price. I would not say it was the beat gyro or shawarma i ate in my life, but definitely not bad. I gave 1 star for atmoshpere, because this place is so dirty..oh my lord. I decided to eat inside with my buddy, but when we looked around we kinda regret the decision. Place looks filthy..literally. I think those all 5 stars are coming from people who order delivery from that spot, or just taking out. Overall not the greateast experience, but definitely not need that much to be a...
