I'm changing up my reviews a little bit. But still getting started here. Location near down town main street Tsing Tao is rumored to be the oldest China Restaurant in Richmond KY. They have Menu which a person can find located at the counter where you pay for food. The menu's are listed by Number or by the name of the Item. They do have lunch specials which makes for a cheaper dinning experience. As well as The Chef's Recommendation. I'm not sure of all of them. But, things like Crispy Sesame Chicken, and Beef entries seem to be the lunch special's only greater amount of food. Things I've tried and have enjoyed eating are Hunan Beef, And Sesame Chicken. I will let you know they do deliver, but it is limited to location. Ask them for more detail. But i'm believing it's within the area of main street and other streets close to it. I will admit that parking space is limited. But you can walk to this location. Enjoy, and hope you've enjoyed this Review. As Always Maltese...
Read moreIn my opinion this the best Chinese food in Richmond. I always order the General Tso's or the Honey Chicken and they are always super delicious. One reason I really enjoy this restaurant is because many Chinese places put way too much sauce on the chicken which makes it too soggy and you can't taste the chicken anymore, but this place does not drown the dish in sauce!
The eggrolls are great and the egg drop soup is THE BEST I have ever had. It isn't too thin or too thick, it's the perfect balance and consistency.
The only reason I took off a star is because if you order delivery, order when you aren't even hungry yet! It will take them at least 45min. and sometimes up to two hours to deliver your food! They do warn you when it will take awhile, but I prefer to pick up my order and...
Read moreA friendly crew and excellent food, but it's not what you'd call a restaurant. There's one table to sit at which I believe is meant for customers who are there for carry out services. The food is the best I've had in a very long time, and we look forward to going back again. Sadly I have to update this review to bring attention to the decline of the restaurant since my original review (above). Over the course of the last year; Tsing Tao has gone from being the best Chinese food I've ever had, to one of the worst. The last four times we've ordered, we've received terrible food, commencing in tonight's meal; General Tso's Shrimp, which was over-cooked.but managed to have still frozen broccoli. Last week's was inedible (pork fried...
