The cortado, cappuccino, iced coffee, and matcha tea were all very tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. There are not many pastries, but the ones offered are great. There is a vending machine for bagged coffee beans, which I have never seen before; you can visit at 2 AM if you need a caffeine rush. There are not many tables indoors, which could be a problem at certain times of day, but the recent addition to outdoor tables and benches with umbrellas to screen the sun rectifies one of my few criticisms. Beautiful space, I was super excited to get some coffe and food this morning. I wanted to buy the biggest bag of basecamp I could find. Turns out this establishment does not accept US Currency in the form of cash. I thought That was the point of having a federal reserve note. A restaurant in New York got sued for this today today everyone can Google it. I feel kind of discriminated against by this policy. I love Blanchards! I love supporting them. But this location is severely lacking. The baristas are probably the most unfriendly and cold people I have ever encountered in a coffee shop. If you don’t like people, don’t work a service position. The coffee is exceptional though, and I know the owners treat their staff exceptionally well. I will continue to patronize them, but probably not this location again. I’ve had enough of rude people. There are too many coffee shops in Richmond to tolerate that. Plus I waited 20...
