This place is located in a small little shopping strip with 4 or 5 other stores and a playground in the back. All 4 of us that order coffee loved what we ordered! I did a vanilla caramel iced latte with 1% milk. Delicious! Not too sweet and the flavor came through. Got a bacon and egg breakfast tacos which comes with 2 but it didn't come with a sauce and not sure if I was suppose to order that separately or if there is a station to pick up. I had my little ones with me so I was too busy to really search or ask and besides as a busy mom, as is usually is good. Haha. The kids shared a bacon and egg croissant which they devoured.

They have the cutest little kid section and some bench seating right next to it. I never knew how much I seeked out bench seating until I had kiddos. Lot of toys for the kids like blocks, books, magnetiles...

This was a 50 min drive for me but to venture out to another small city and explore was worth the drive. My oldest thought we were in the car for too long and somehow I survived the outting with 2 littles by myself and no stroller/wagon. I was bold.

There is a small parking lot in front of the stores and after that it's street parking. We all got there at different times and all of us were able to get parking. We did come on a Sunday morning and I arrived at...

I tried this coffee house a week ago and I’ve been back 3 times already! I am new to this town and wanted to find a charming coffee house near town to enjoy and relax (Starbucks just wasn’t an option at this point, to commercialize for me) i love to support small business so I googled away. I came across BlockHouse ! The coffee and latte are delicious here. The coffee isn’t bitter or bloating and neither is the espresso. The beautiful detail they put into the latte art is unique, I’ve only tried the coffee beverages and avocado toast, which was also great btw. My niece tried the vanilla bean frappe and agreed it was also delicious. The environment is warm and inviting and the customer service is always friendly and helpful ! There is a small library to choose books from to read and free wifi for studying. The cute outdoor patio is a nice addition to this already awesome place ! I am a Houston native who lived near the heights area where there are tons of coffee shops and none made me feel more at home with great coffee than Blockhouse. The prices are reasonable, They do close at 3pm and have an awesome point/reward system so I suggest you sign up! Apple/google pay is...

What a find!!! I made the small trek from Sugar land because of the reviews and my mom and I were not disappointed! We ordered the avocado toast on sourdough(requested for them to add a fried egg which they did) and it was easily one of my fav avocado toasts I have ever had(which is saying a LOT AS this is what I order at every cafe for breakfast)! The ambience is what I wanted to explore and again, I was bowled over. They have a massive outdoor area with kids playground but also plenty of seating at a distance for adults who just wanna enjoy the outdoors. The front had cute patio seating as well. The inside was small but very cozy with lots of indoor plants. Very family friendly with coloring pages for kiddos and a mini play area tucked in a corner. However it never felt too loud or raucous and my mom and I were able to enjoy easy conversation. Now for the piece de resistance aka the coffee! Wow! They source Amaya brand coffee beans(that’s the one they used for our cappuccinos) and it was divine! All in all a true 5...

If I could I would give this business 10 Stars. First off, the quality of the coffee is A1, and the food, they have a literal Chef in the kitchen creating your Avacado Toast! No prepackaged treat thrown into a microwave. I’ve gone for the coffee and switched to tea. I went in one morning with horrible allergies wanting a tea and the Barista suggested a tea with Ginger & honey etc that wasn’t even on the menu, and not only did it taste fantastic, it actually soothed my sinuses. The owners of Blockhouse aren’t your typical owners, they actually give back to the community daily by hosting events, highlighting and patronizing other local small businesses. The atmosphere inside is a vibe, they offer free books for a good read if you have time to sit, and the back door patio is ginormous! Star who?! I make it a point to go to BlockHouse when I’m in Richmond. Thank you for all that you do. Y’all Rock!

after seeing it on Instagram, especially since my friend had pre-ordered a book and received a message inviting her to bring a friend. Upon arriving for the ‘Day of Onyx’ event, I was greeted by a rude woman at the door. While the setup with snacks and games seemed inviting, I was told I couldn’t participate. Even after showing her the message confirming that I was allowed as a guest, she still refused, despite there being more than enough snacks and space available. This lack of clear communication and the dismissive attitude made me feel unwelcome. For future events, I highly recommend staying away from this place. There are plenty of other places to get your books when they drop, and this experience was not worth the trouble. Very disappointing. Look elsewhere for all your coffee needs they team work with the lit book bar as well. So I would stay away from those two shops.
