If you’re looking for amazing halal food near Kaiser Richmond and the US Postal Office, Marty’s Grill is the place to go! I recently tried the Philly cheesesteak, chicken tenders, and a burger, and everything was absolutely delicious!

The Philly cheesesteak was loaded with tender, flavorful meat and perfectly melted cheese on a fresh roll. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and stacked with toppings. The chicken tenders were crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. The portions were very generous, making it a great value for the price.

I visited for lunch today (a Wednesday) and I think they're still working out some of their operational kinks. I went inside to place a takeout order (rather than the drive-thru) and I was there for 25 minutes. It took 9 minutes for four people in front of me and then me to place an order, and then I waited a further ~16 minutes for my food to come out.

And they forgot my french fries, which I only realized upon getting home. Yes, my fault for not checking the order before I left.

The food itself was pretty good though: The crispy chicken sandwich was tasty with the slaw and pickle, although I wish the chicken was a bit larger to fill out the bun. The sweet king sandwich was delectable, with perhaps just a tad more mayo than I'd prefer. And the potato wedges were hot and fresh and well-seasoned.

Pricing was completely fair and everyone was super friendly and with a good attitude!

Despite the small issues, I'll definitely be back to try more items off the menu and support a local small business. I look forward to updating this review to 5 stars...
