I frequent this place a lot and it used to be one of my favorite lunch spots. One day, my co-workers and I decide to order take out. We had about six orders. When I went to pick the orders up, the serving assured me that everything was in the bag and labeled. When I got back to work, I noticed that we were missing an order of fries. I immediately called them to notify them them of the issue and that I would be there the next day to retrieve the fries that I had already paid for. The next day arrives, I called them before leaving to let them know that I would be coming to pick up the order. When I arrived, the owner, Shannon, became very rude saying that I had only order two orders of fries and received them. I don't know why she would think that I would be lying about a $3 order of fries, when my co workers and I spent nearly $100 the day before. I guess she assumed that I was the product of the area that the restaurant is located in. I proceeded to call my co-worker to inform her of the problem I was having with the owner, Shannon. Shannon tells me that "If I have an issue, I don't have to come there anymore." I told her she could keep the fries and I left. I have no respect for anyone who would treat customers in the manner she did. My co-workers and I will not...

My husband and I just came across this place on Labor Day. We went to a different place to eat only to find it closed. So we tried here because we saw it on our drive and decided to check it out. Bonus points for being open on a holiday! When you walk in it looks like a cozy local neighborhood type of pub. Low lighting inside with a bar in the middle and booths all around. The service was friendly and helpful. It was also a laid back environment. The best part is that the food was delicious. They had a pork chop special with mashed potatoes and gravy that my husband has been telling everyone about. I had a Western Burger that was very delicious! The burger was cooked the way I asked and it was juicy. The way a burger should be. I also got sweet potato fries for my side. Most places charge extra for those, but this place doesn't! How refreshing. Craft beer is on sight on draft, bottle, and can. Pepsi products are also here and there's good carbonation! We were so full that we didn't have room for dessert, but they looked good! The prices were so reasonable for the amount of food we had as well! Two people at for $30. Check it out! You won't be...

My most recent visit wasn't a pleasant one. I hadn't been here in a couple years due to a job change. I'm assuming they are short staffed but when we got there, we were immediately sat down but they told us they didn't know who was supposed to wait on our table. Eventually a lady came and took our drinks but came back with our drinks and said she wouldn't be taking our food order. The bartender ended up taking our order which was fine. They were out of crab so I was a little sad about that but that doesn't reflect my rating. I gave 3/5 stars because I asked for a drink refill BEFORE our food came, never received one. Then asked the different gentleman who brought my food out for a refill, still didn't get one. The next time we even saw a worker was AFTER we finished eating. The bartender came back over and asked us how our food was. I asked for a drink to go and for the check. He didn't come back for another 10-15 mins with the check and my refill. Overall the food was good but the service wasn't up to par. Hopefully this was just a short staffed issue and not a...

Had a decent time at Northside Grille. I was with 3 others and we had the crab cake sandwich, ribeye special, buffalo chicken sandwich and club sandwich. We also tried the lumpia appetizer and the crab dip appetizer. The rib-eye was tasty but had too much fat. Granted ribeye is fatty but the fat should have been rendered more. The Club was spot on. My fiancé said he did not like the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake he said was soggy and not much flavor to it. The crab dip was nothing special. Being Filipino, I wanted to try the lumpia (Filipino egg roll). It tasted pretty good, like my mom makes. If you decide to go to Northside Grille get the Club Sandwich, try the lumpIa and get a draft beer. Service is decent but could be better. You may be waiting longer than you want. This is not a fast paced restaurant.

Very enjoyable Sunday brunch. Huge portions, reasonably priced, deliciously prepared. Service is somewhat leisurely paced, but can be hurried on request. Charming atmosphere. Their Cuban is one of the best in Richmond, especially with the jalapenos. It will fill you up. $8 omelette with two ingredients plus toast and a side will require a box. The only way you can finish it at the table is to go in hungry. Excellent service. Definitely going back to make sure we didn't simply get lucky.
