Met a friend at O'Toole'...my first time there..we sat at the bar..the bartender saw us but took his time coming over to see what we wanted. My friend ordered the steak special but I didn't order food right away so I asked for a beer....got the beer.. minutes later we saw the bartender ( skinny) and another bartender ( chubby) doing something so my friend asked ( chubby) who was our server...he stated with an attitude we are both doing everything...so I ordered some food... before the other bartender left who served me the beer I asked for another one but he never came back not did I get the beer...my friend ordered her salad and was served with no utensils...when she asked for utensils ( chubby) he gave it to her and then he asked why did we want to know who was serving us with an attitude...we stated because every time we needed something we had to look for either him or the other guy...he walked away...my food comes and guess what no utensils.....I waited until ( chubby) came back and stated I didn't have any utensils...he stated they are right here pointing to a tray behind the bar?... I asked how was I supposed to know that...he instantly got upset and tried to argue with me and called me rude....I stated that the service we received was rude and that my friend and I both observed him and the other bartender mingling and talking to the other patrons at the bar but ignored us... chubby stated...those are my friends that I am talking to...with?...so I state so it's ok to ignore us?... He became defensive and called me rude again... I stated to chubby..do you really want to continue to argue with me when you and the other bartender were wrong?... He then walked away.
Needless to say... I will not patronize this establishment again and I did not eat the food because I didn't trust them..it looked good but was afraid after what we...
Read moreWe had a group of 6 who came to eat a later dinner on a Sunday evening. We had been to O'Toole's once before and we decided to bring our out of town friends to have dinner when we missed the dinner window at The Veil just down the street. Unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing experience and I doubt I will ever return. The service was horrendous- our waitress, who I won't mention by name, was incredibly rude and it seemed like we were putting her out each time we asked for something. The food was super overcooked and took FOREVER to come out. A cheeseburger, ordered medium rare, was more like medium well. Two grilled chicken plates were inedible because the chicken was more like a hockey puck. The waitress, who we didn't blame for the food issues, was less than willing to try to make things right. She was rude, inattentive and could have cared less about our dinners. I am a server myself, and usually have a lot of grace for fellow servers, but this woman should not be in the service industry. I am embarrassed for the restaurant to have such a server working for them, as it reflects negatively on the establishment. We won't be returning to O'Toole's anytime in the...
Read moreI Love how we were greeted at the door and seated immediately. One of the problems that I notice as I entered was that, there was an undeniable stinch. I'm not sure if it's from the years of beer being wasted on the floor into the carpet or what but if you're someone that smells any and everything, than you will understand what I'm talking about. I like how it didn't take that long for our drinks to come. Our waiter was patient and pleasant the entire time while servicing us and when our food came to the table, mine was room temperature close to cool and my friend food was extremely hot. I didn't need to add and salt or pepper to my dish because it had flavor. My mixed vegetables on the other hand was overwhelmingly greasy and it taste like it as you can see in my picture. I got s sense that the patrons that frequent this restaurant are comfortable with it's surroundings. It's and establishment that has been in the community since the 60's from what I was told and I Love that about it. However, being my first time there, I felt like the smell and upkeep needed to...
