This is a great place to grab breakfast, brunch or lunch. Their bagels fresh made every day and they have a full variety of pastries. Their sandwiches are top notch my favorite is the vegetarian with hummus on one of their extra large croissants. They make about 6 types of cream cheese with my favorite being the garlic and herb. If you’re like enough garlic to give you a little burn this is the spread for you. Other spreads include veggie cream cheese, Bacon & Chive, Chocolate Chip, Blueberry, etc.
Their sides are excellent probably the best egg salad I've ever had, I also hear their macaroni salad is excellent. Some of the best pickles I've ever had as well. I always buy a few to take home. Tho I've never tried them, their salads are MONSTROUS, and I see a ton of folks ordering them so I bet they're good.
Great prices too I had a Vegetarian sandwich, pickle, side of egg salad and a soda for about $5.75
Long story short, GO...
Read moreOne of my favorite local places to go to. The food is always fresh and delicious. However, it will be awhile before I go back. The customer service needs some work! I eat at the other establishments owned by the same owner and the customer service at Old Richmond Inn and Galos is great. The young humans working on a Saturday afternoon really need to work on their customer service skills at 5th Street Bagel! Sorry I asked 2 questions about a sandwich due to dietary restrictions. Sorry I asked if the chicken salad is made fresh or comes pre made. Sorry I spent 40 dollars on lunch for 2 people. Next time I will go elsewhere; and spend half the amount; and get better customer service. Usually local business means better customer service..... Not here! I know I am only one person, but I will not be back due to the rudeness and attitude...
Read moreThis is the first time since I showed up to but lunch which I normally do and I felt disrespected by the staff. My soup was not even prepared well. It was sloppy presented, the three staff women present were more focused on their discussion and barely wanted to be disturbed from their conversation. They looked at me strange when I asked for bagel slices to eat with the soup. They gave me crackers and let them on the counter. She expected me to take the tray to put the soup. What a joke of a group of people. There were some better staffers before, I am not sure what happened. I don’t think I will return, especially the soup was give and it was barely warm, bad service. Awful taste and I could not finish the soup. I have had better service, presentation and food here. Today...
