Rubicon Bakers — Restaurant in Richmond

Both my husband and I absolutely love the carrot cake and also the chocolate cake. Just couple days ago bought another small size of the carrot cake from Oakland Wholefoods and we devoured it same day between the two of us hahaha. This cake is not your usual greasy buttery loaded with frosting - it feels like homemade cake and I should know because i'm a homebaker :) I can taste the nutmeg and cinnamon, the cake texture is lovely and moist and we both love that the frosting is not that heavy and not that much on the cake. It's definitely our weekly treat! I was amazed to read about who makes the cakes in this bakery and now I know what makes these cakes so delicious - HOPE this bakery brings to its employees. !! WOW !! Rubicon Bakers make a chocolate cupcake with vanilla cream filling that is DELICIOUS!! (We are cupcake snobs and these are the BOMB!!)

I tried the chocolate cupcakes with peanutbutter..OMG!!@ they are so fresh N moist. ..Just like homemade. The icing is very soft..tastes like dark chocolate. The little nuts on top are a extra touch of love. The peanut butter inside is soft N creamy..Its not over powering ..its just right. I never had a perfect cupcake and I'm 53.. Today changed that!! Thank you Rubicon..Im impressed..Im happy...and im telling Everybody!! Wish I could give 10 stars and a hug..If u see them in your store..Buy them..You will taste...
