The Neighborhood Scoop — Restaurant in Richmond

I can’t say enough about the Neighborhood Scoop and the owners, Lawson and Alfonso. My husband and I were determined to have ice cream sandwiches at our wedding reception when we were planning. Through many, many changes due to Covid, Lawson was so flexible and made sure we were able to make this happen. We ended up having a small ceremony in my hometown in Virginia, and Alfonso delivered the sandwiches to us! When we brought them out at the reception, everyone raved about how tasty they were. We even had a few left to enjoy the next day at our Honeymoon. We will definitely be back to the Neighborhood Scoop...

I booked this ice cream truck 3 months in advance for a big neighborhood event. Confirmed service 2 weeks before event and kept close communication the week of the event. The evening before, I received an email saying they would be an hour late. I told them it wasn't a problem. I then received another email late that night saying they had to cancel due to a scheduling conflict. Not sure how this happened when I booked 3 months in advance! Very disappointed in this truck. It was not enough time to book another dessert truck. They are not reliable or professional! I would NOT...

This place is one of the best things about this neighborhood. Al and Lawson have become friends because of how often we visit the Scoop. The soft serve is great and affordable for a quick dessert for my daughter, and my wife and I love the selection of Gelati Celesti. The Scoop is extremely active in the community and has begun putting on activities for families in the evenings. The staff is always polite and kind and goes out of their way to make sure your ice cream is exactly as you like it. I can't speak more highly...
