I would give this place a better review, but frankly every time I try to go in they are closed. Kinda absurd that one of my days off they’re closed, every other day: they close before I get off work. Find myself disappointed that they’re either closed, or that the service is mid (at best). Taking off even more points for having the “Open” sign lit up, but the door locked.

Edit: I finally made it to Bahay while they’re open!!! As usual, the wait for food that needs to be cooked is around 20 minutes. This would not be an issue, normally. However if you know the kitchen is backed up, perhaps consider asking the people in line if they plan on ordering any dishes that have to be cooked. Waited in line for at least 10 minutes (time that could have been spent starting food), while the only person in front of us had his entire face over the top of the glass guard for the food that is already prepared. I understand not wanting to confront a customer, but it’s common sense that people should be asked to respect the glass that is guarding the FOOD from people’s saliva/breath. I don’t feel even remotely comfortable eating that food, regardless of the 2nd guard. I really want to like this place since I grew up in Hawaii and the food feels familiar, but it’s not easy to. Half star for atmosphere, however a single star is the least I can give. Advice to owners: start taking your business seriously, because it does not seem like anyone here does. I...

Went there for lunch, tried the buffet, it all had great flavor, but the rice was dry and the pork adobo was half chunks of fat, and half overcooked meat, seemed like it had been sitting there for a day. It was almost too salty to eat, seemed like it had been marinating in soy sauce for a day. I also got the chicken and vegetable dish, I had small pieces of bone, broken chicken bones, and very little meat. Cost me $22 for two entrees and rice, so I would say it's overpriced and the cook is not paying attention to his product. If you like to eat salty golf ball size chunks of fat, this is the place for you.

The buffet also had half of the trays empty, so I couldn't choose from very many options, so I assume I chose from the items nobody wanted.

Maybe I'll order something fresh next time and give it another chance, but based on this experience, I wouldn't go back and I don't expect them to be in business for long.

Not to mention they ask for a tip for handing you your food and a plastic fork. Some may disagree, but I don't think a business without a server deserves a tip.

It's been many years since I reviewed a restaurant, I really don't do this but I was so disappointed I thought I would...

The food and drinks are always amazing here. However today the service was lacking. The woman that took my order was not friendly or helpful at all. I started to order, had to check my phone to confirm someone else's order and she just walked away and left me standing there for a while, I had to chase her to the other side of the store to finish my order, then when I asked if the teriyaki chicken came with rice she looked at me like I was stupid. Same thing when I asked if the entree plate came with rice, and the same if I could get the drink with almond milk. Then before the transaction was even done she walked away again leaving me to process the payment. She also charged me for the wrong thing, and when I let her know she seemed annoyed and put out that I asked to fix it (she charged me less than she was supposed to) when my order was ready she set it on the counter and walked away without saying anything to me, no thank you, no have a nice day. Pretty disappointed because usually they are...

We ordered pickup from here due to delivery having such a long time estimate and $15 in added costs on a $35 order. The pancit, lumpias, and spring rolls were all great with huge portions. The beef yaki soba was on the mushy side, the noodles were a little stuck together and wasn't super fresh. We also got the melon boba and brown sugar boba and both were great, the brown sugar was obviously very sweet though, reminded me of cotton candy. Will be ordering from here again!

The few times I’ve eaten here, the food has also been good. I ordered the Lechon on the side (cook to order) and I got a 2 choice. I got the teriyaki chicken with pork adobo and garlic rice. Food was amazing. Being from Guam it reminds me of the Filipino restaurants back home. We dined in and it was clean so that’s a big plus for me. Service was also great too. We’ll be back soon! Highly recommended!!

Pleasantly surprised to eat pretty good filipino food in Ridgecrest! A friend and I chose to stoped at Bahay Kubo for lunch on our drive from LA to Lone Pine. The service was a bit slow but I think that matches the area/pace of the town. Portions were generous. Ample selection of Filipino stewed meats and veggies. The garlic friend rice should have been much more garlicky in my opinion.
