Wanted to visit the bakery in Pal Park, but didn't want to look for parking. I'm so glad this location opened! Plenty of parking as it's in the same area as Hmart. Very open and spacious inside. Seating is minimal and modern. Came in at noon on a random a Tuesday and all the seats were pretty much filled!
Variety of breads, pastries, teas, coffees, and lattes. Had the Iced Chestnut Cloud Macchiato- so delicious! The sweetness of the cream didn't overpower the coffee, plus you can actually taste the coffee (not burnt like some other chains). Red Bean Sesame Donut (?) was too sweet for my taste buds. I didn't eat it right away, so by the time I had it after dinner, it had deflated âšď¸. LOVED the Matcha Croissant Roll!! The bread tastes and looks like it had matcha mixed in, plus a surprise matcha cream in the middle! Also like how there's time stamps next to each baked item.
I don't know where the other people go that's complaining about the prices. My croissant roll was $6/6.5 which I think is "normal" for a specialty pastry in NJ/NY area, in USA. My Chestnut macchiato was $6 (pretax)- also average for the area. In this economy, everything is expensive. Don't go to a specialty bakery then đ¤ˇđťââď¸
Anyways, everyone that worked there were all very nice and welcoming! Will definitely be back to try more breads...
Read moreI donât usually write reviews, but after this experience, I felt I had toâbecause it wasnât just bad service, it was a health concern.
For the second time, I was given raw pastry from this bakery. The inside wasnât just underbakedâit was raw dough, which can pose serious health risks like Salmonella or E. coli. This isnât a minor mistake. Itâs a food safety issue, and it shouldnât be happeningâespecially more than once.
When I returned the pastries, I expected at least a sincere apology. Instead, the manager questioned everything: When did I buy it? Where was the receipt? (They didnât even give me one.) He asked if the other untouched pastries were raw too, like I was just trying to complain. Not once did I feel heard, respected, or taken seriously. I felt like I was being treated as a problem, not a paying customer with a legitimate concern.
In the end, they only refunded the items I returnedâno apology, no care for the inconvenience, no acknowledgment of the health risk. I was just sent home, as if the whole thing was nothing.
Between the food safety issue and the complete lack of accountability or basic customer service, I wonât be going back. And I honestly donât think anyone else...
Read moreMy husband and I have been wanting to go here for a while now, so we finally got time to stop by. My husband got some pastries which was good, but when it came to us ordering drinks, I told my husband out loud, I wanted the black milk tea, and he repeated it to me and then told the cashier, Esty, black milk tea small. She asked if we wanted ice or hot, I replied, iced. We continue our order and then I paid for it. The drink that came out was black sesame tea. We told her this isnt want we wanted and her response was, that's what you said, and you confirmed it. First of all we never confirmed it, please check your cameras if we did or did not. If we did then I will own the mistake but I do not recall whatsoever she read our order back to us. Instead of apologizing they just ignored us after we said we wanted black milk tea. I dont even like sesame. Good thing I wasn't allergic to it. I found it very unprofessional and we will never go back to this place. Thanks for a very...
