Came here for my husbands birthday and sadly was not thrilled on the experience. Our service was disappointing to say the least. We had Mercedes as our server and she was also training a new girl, which is a scary thought considering her attitude. We were greeting and seated quickly as we had reservations and after being seated were only given one menu for the four of us. Mercedes came over and asked our drink order which we didn't really know considering we have one menu for us all to try and look at. We ordered a margarita and a bloody mary and requested another menu. She left and came back with some waters still no menu so we asked again and she snapped back that she had to go to the front to get it. Pretty rude how she approached it. She finally came back with another. We now had two for he four of us... oh well we could deal with that. After receiving a menu we realized there was 4 types of bloody marys! Which she never mentioned when taking the order and we had to walk up to the bar area to flag her down letting her know we wanted to try the Admiral Mary. After we received our drinks we were pleasantly surprised he bloody mary was very nice! had all the fixins and a crab arm holding a shrimp which was pretty cool. But after receiving were not given an extra plate for all the shells or a cracker to actually eat the crab leg, yet another request that our server seemed annoyed about. (like what do you want us to do set the shells on the table?!) Now we were ready to order our food. She was very quick and talked over us as we were trying to order. We got the Steamed clams and mussles, seared ahi tuna, Cedar Plank Sea Scallops, Seafood Wedge, Petite Filet with lobster tail and Crab crusted cod. First came out the steamers and tuna which both had a nice presentation. The steamer broth was packed with flavor and he clams themselves were very sizable. I would for sure order the steamers again. Then came our entrees, all had a really nice presentation. I got the scallops and was pretty satisfied, it had a great flavor and nice crispy parm coating on top and I also really enjoyed the sauce. My husband ordered his steak medium rare and it come out pretty much well done so he was disappointed about that. Of course our server never came back over to check on us and my mom needed more dressing for her salad. We had to wave down the server and requested more. After another 15min went by and she still did not bring it out we waved down the girl she was training to ask for more. After finishing up she cleared our table and asked about desserts, I asked if there was a menu (I saw them on the first menu's we had) and she instead she just said what they had. We decided to pass. Overall I did think the food itself was pretty good, decent selection but the service is really what killed this experience. For a $300 dinner you would think you would be getting top notch service, not attitude and lack of service. I may come back again but this really didn't leave a...
Read moreOur first time, we live in Ridgefield. Went on a Friday, the live music was nice, just way too loud. The hostess, an ashy blonde gal, was hating life, pursed lips, no eye contact, had us thinking we came too early or something. Waiter nice, just limited. I would have liked to have seen a few more fish items on the menu, like Mahi, or Swordfish. Didn’t care for the crab-spinach-artichoke dip…wish there was more artichoke and what little crab I could find, was a bit funky (stringy/old textured)…also, this appeared to be a nicer restaurant, maybe serve with baguette vs chips like “on the road” Applebees? My husband had the bucatini, was pretty good, just very rich…think it would be better served with steak bites vs shrimp, which is also rich. He ate most of it, but complained half way through. I had the crab crusted cod…was not impressed at all!! The cod was over cooked, was the thin top crust really crab, no flavor (crab/seasoning), the hollandaise sauce was too thick, almost clumpy, bland, if anything too sweet (more lemon maybe, after all it is fish). Most notable, was the undressed arugula literally thrown on top covering the entire dish, not like some pictures below. So notable, I said something when set in front of me, thought it was a salad at first…there is a problem with having different servers deliver your meal by the way. Two bites in, after uncovering it, I scraped off the hollandaise and the remainder of the flavorless arugula and watched for a waiter…3/4 of the way through my meal, I asked them to bring me more of the finish sauce I found underneath…it was better suited for this fish, and the arugula could of used a quick toss in it. When they brought it, it was of course ice cold 🙄 The finger potatoes was the best part. So $28 for one piece of fish that would have been better battered and fried and a medium fry. We paid in full, reluctantly tipped at 18% and left…desert was untrustworthy at this point. Just get so tired of having to pay for these meals, restaurants are hit and miss anymore. I know I can do far better cooking it myself. Also, I don’t do well with a lot of sushi places, I get upper stomach cramps…my fish was overcooked, why am I experiencing this on my way home? Maybe the weird crab in the dip? Please do not tell me I may be sick tonight 🫣 I just read someone else had it about...

Unfortunatly when we got there it was running behind and waited over a hour just to get seated. After hostess seated us the waiter came took our order for drinks " 2 Mimosa"s". Few minutes later we got up & went to choose what dishes we wanted, then eventually came back..but no drinks yet. Waited awhile longer until I finally got up and had to walk around entire restraunt looking around for our waiter with no luck, so let the hostess who seated us know the situation.. Went back to table to begin eating..The macaroni & cheese with crab was cold the noodles were not completly cooked and tuff & chewy..So then tried the crab legs and couldn't eat but one bite of it because was over the top salty..by that time I really need something" water or mimosa" anything to wash it down .We had been at our table at that point another 20 mins and still no Mimosa and so again I had to go walk around the restraunt looking for our waiter. Finally the hostess brought our water..I went on to eat my potatoes last item on my plate but they too were barely warm & hard and chewy chunks of potatoes..Eventually our two mimosas came as were finishing up. My beastie and I both felt it was over priced at $20 dollar a plate and not very good service...but the joke was on us when we got the check..Misread menue and its the children that is $20 bucks..and adults is a whopping $56 dollars a person for..Ok now we don't just feel hoodwinked but rather straight up robbed .. Left restraunt feeling frustrated and still hungry When I got Home I politely called and spoke with a mngr "Tyler" I told him I wanted to talk with him 1st before writing this review, giving a chance to make it a positive or rectify it slightly He thanked me for the feed back and was going to speak with chef & waiter..Wasnt so much as even offered a coupon towards another meal to make it right..With that we might of possibly given them another chance but guess not.. I don't get these reviews at all saying how great the food is & service too...Sooo don't know what the heck happened today with us..Guess were jusr the lucky ones "sadly...
