Wow! Probably one of the best meals I'll have all year. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS TOP NOTCH! Was running behind for our reservation, but the staff had no problem accommodating a slightly later reservation. I like that when we made the reservation, they asked if we were celebrating anything. I thought it was so special they gave me a birthday card signed by everyone with quite the dessert! All of the Michael Jordan's Steakhouse staff were exceptional from start to finish... especially our amazing server, Payton! They all made us feel valued and special and didn't miss a beat.
Lots of free parking, a nice patio when weather is nice, and big booths or tables for any occasion on top of the stellar service and food make this a perfect place to go any day! They have specials on Tuesdays, Sundays, and Fridays. The Sunday Feast spread was impressive for $99! You get 2 appetizers, a board of meats, and dessert. That cheesecake was so light and delicious. Probably the best cheesecake I've ever had and I've had every cheesecake AND other desserts at The Cheesecake Factory!
Anyway, back to the food. EVERYTHING was so good that it's hard to say what I enjoyed the most!
The Sangria was nice.
The Wagyu meatballs were a perfect texture and flavor. I really liked the whipped ricotta. These ones are equally as good as the ones at Bella Vista (Ilani Hotel).
The Caesar salad was nice. No overpowering flavors and a huge size. They offered to plate it up on multiple plates and so glad they did because it was still quite a bit.
The French onion soup was the best I've ever had. I could go in for that with the garlic bread and be happy as a clam! The blue cheese fondue served with the bread was bonkers delicious, but the bread itself didn't even need a dip.
The mac and cheese and asparagus were both good selections for the sides. All of the sauces and seasonings on the meats were tasty! The short ribs were fall apart tender, the steak cooked perfect medium rare, the shrimp light and full flavor, and the bacon so thick and delicious. Even the condiments of horseradish, salts, and roasted garlic were spot on.
The filet mignon was OUTSTANDING! Melted in our mouths.
As for the complimentary birthday dessert, it too was impressive. The server was even willing to sing to me, but I didn't make him. Lol I will be dreaming about the cheesecake that came with the Sunday Feast for sure.
All in all, no complaints - only compliments! I will want to come here again and again. Will be recommending to everyone looking for a special meal or just superb service and food! Hope you enjoy the...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience. By far the worst I’ve ever had with any restaurant. Our party of 5 arrived asking the young and very rude hostesses if there might be a table available. We had planned on having desserts. We were told they were only taking reservations despite several open tables. We asked if it was possible to order a couple of slices of the famous chocolate cake to go since there were no tables. The hostesses then told us to go ask the bartender, but doubted they could accommodate it. We asked the bartender, he said they could but it would be about 15-min. No problem. We paid $37 for two slices of cake and went back to stand in the entrance to wait. Another party of 5 showed up, that also did not have reservations, but were seated anyway! Our party stood there pretty shocked.
I had to ask why we weren’t seated of course. It was crazy. I went to the hostess stand and asked why and I was rudely told by the young dark haired girl that it wasn’t her fault with an extremely bad attitude. She said the bartender sat the table. I wasn’t attacking her or yelling at all. I was just asking. She was extremely defensive and combative. I told her she didn’t have to be rude, I was just asking. She then told me very aggressively to not speak to her like that. She was extremely aggressive and argumentative. I asked for a manager who was equally as rude and told me to step outside as it was rude to talk about the situation inside there and chastised for telling him I was treated badly by the hostess, to which he said I couldn’t talk about her like that? Wow. He was extremely unprofessional and also very aggressive with a snarky insincere “apology” with a few dirty looks. His demeanor was that they were just doing their job, and told us he was sorry we felt that way. Also very defensive and combative. We weren’t asking for much, just two pieces of cake. At this point we just canceled our order of cake. After the treatment we got, I wouldn’t trust what they did with the order honestly. I will say that the bartender was very kind however and accommodated our request to cancel the order. I will never go back there. I’ve worked in restaurants. I know people can be unreasonable, but honestly, we were not. I’ve never been treated so rudely honestly ever. Not a great representation of this...
Read moreLong wait for crappy food in a freezing cold expensive overrated restaurant! Worst restaurant experience ever. Hopefully it was just because it was opening night. Waited in line foe an hour to get in because they weren't taking reservations. It was my daughter's 14th birthday and all she wanted to do was go to this restaurant because she heard rumors that Michael Jordan was going to be there. Well they weren't true. Next up, I asked for children's menus and was told that they won't have any until next week, so I guess we'll all order off the adult menu. We ordered 2 fillet mignon's "medium rare" and 1 grilled chicken, 1 wedge salad, 1 lobster bisque, mashes potatoe trio, macaroni and cheese, and cream spinach. After waiting for the salad and lobster bisque for 1 hour the manager came by and explained that the bisque wasn't turning out right and offered to comp something else in its place. I opted for another wedge salad. In 20 minutes the salads came out, then my wife pulls a black hair out of hers 18 inches long with blue cheese and lettuce stuck to it. I almost threw up. I would have left right then if my daughter wasn't so excited to be there. The server comes back and replaces the salad. Finally the food comes: 1 fillet looks great, the other is way over cooked, they take it away and say they will bring out another one, the chicken is dry and luke warm with no flavor, 10 minutes later the other fillet comes out and is cooked perfect. The creamed spinach tasted like bitter sea weed, the macaroni and cheese had no flavor, and the mashed potatoes were a thick clump of paste like instant potatoes. Overall the meal sucked and the restaurant was freezing cold. Our server was great and only knew about the hair, fillet, and how long we waited and discounted our bill by 50%. I'm not the kind of person to sit and complain and send things back over and over, especially in a "5 star restaurant ". The manager came to my table once about the bisque problem in the beginning and never showed his face again. Whoever the chef is that let this food be served should be fired or just transferred back to applebees. Like i said: "Long wait for crappy food in a freezing cold expensive overrated...
