Too easy to walk past this small local pizza and panini shop. Feel like they need someone outside singing Italian music or spinning a sign. But once you try the pie, you won't forget. One of the best pizza joints around. Really love this little local pizza shop in the amazing Renaissance! Great quality pizzas that are large enough to split for 2 people. I love Basil's in Fondren but I had a bit of a disappointing visit. I ordered a Pasta Salad Bowl through the Waitr app and went and picked it up. The ingredients besides the actual pasta and lettuce were not on my salad as listed through the Waitr app. I went back and they added a few of the toppings that were listed. The staff were friendly and helpful and tried to fix it as best as possible, but I think there might be something wrong with the menu they have listed on Waitr and what is being actually served in the resturaunt. I have tried several of the paninis and they are all the same. All bread and very little of everything else described on the menu! I just tried the Cheese Steak panini. When the menu says, smoked brisket, onions, and mushrooms, you assume a hearty sandwich. This panini might have had 3 slivers of onions and 2 thin slices of mushrooms right in the center of the bread.
