A friend and coworker recommended Laspada's to me a few years ago when I got a hankering for a good, juicy hoagie. I was looking to break up my routine of Anna's or Wawa, and so I tried a bunch of local places - Roma Deli, Trios, Promo's - and they were all ok to a point, but nothing spectacular. But still no Laspada's. It took a British woman on a TV series about Delco to get me to check it out, and there is an immediate ND distinct rise in the level at this shop. Both versions of the Italian hoagie are spectacular, albeit the one that made them famous really piles the meat on. Thin sliced and piled high, i cant think of a better hoagie in the area, and only slightly recall something of this quality from some place in South Philly back in the 80's. The Nigerian was also very good - lots of meat, good quality cold cuts - but go with one of the Italians if your looking for a hoagie fix and don't mind the pork. Also tried their South Philly Style cheese steak, and I would say it's in my top 3 cheese steaks right now. Sliced, layered steak, with onions and whiz... Meat was seasoned right... Not too much steak, but certainly didn't chince on the meat either. Tried their Breakfast sandwiches today, and their egg, cheese, pepper, and scrapple with tots (and sharp provolone to boot) will replace any hankerin' I have for a Bui sandwich on 38th st. Their scrapple is crunchy enough, and the whole sandwich just comes together perfectly on a Luscio's long roll. Go here often if you need a Philadelphia Sandwich fix... They as good if not better than ANYTHING you'll find in South Philly or...
Read moreI had a severe need for a Italian hoagie! I do have my go to places, but I wanted to try somewhere different. So yesterday morning as I was leaving work, I asked a friend “ Italian hoagie where you going? Without hesitation he said LaSapada’s! So without hesitation LaSapadas’s was order. I ordered the original Italian added Prosciutto. Well this hoagie was the best I’ve had in a long time. Packed with flavor and meat, you could taste the love! The picture with just a piece of hoagie left shows the meat went from end to end. I also got a order of Loaded fries (fries bacon mozzarella & ranch dressing) also awesome! They were nicely layered so there was bacon and cheese throughout the whole thing!
Store was clean and welcoming, staff was friendly and professional. It was a overall great experience! Next week...
Read moreSoup gets me sick every single time. Cheesesteaks are just ok... flavorless meat and I have no idea where to start looking for cheese. It's nonexistent. If you ask for fried onions you might be able to count 4 pieces. I really don't know what the big deal is about them...fries are constantly cooked in dirty oil. Nothing I've ever gotten from there was good. They have weird rules... like we'll make you a breakfast sandwich... however we will not put the eggs and sausage in a container after 10:30am... after that they'll only pack the sausage and eggs in your choice of bread as a sandwich 🤣🤣🤣 Bread is a must at laspadas. If you're starving and don't mind being on the toilet... this place is for you. If you standards of any kind... you'll...
