El Nido Poolside Restaurant — Restaurant in Rincón

The food was super good. We were able to eat at the restaurant next to the pool. El Nido is located in the hotel, but they have different owners. The chef is the best. I ordered 12 wings in a combination of the 2 flavors 6 and 6. Super delicious, and my wife ordered a mofongo stuffed with Creole shrimp that was super delicious. I just had one bad experience with the guy I was serving. They have a sign that said Happy Hours that started at 4 pm and below it said Food Special and the prices of the specials. I ordered at 3:15 pm when I went to pay. I saw that the price was very high for the wings that were available. 75 cents per wing. He tells me that that price started with the Happy Hours, and I told him, but the message was separate. He fixed the price for me but he came to eat at 4:10 pm the wings were cold but good. The group of Americans, who were 5, ordered after me, their order came out before mine. But the hardest thing was that my ticket was $32 with change and I gave her a 10% tip for giving her something, thinking that the tip was divided with the chef, it was $10.70, it was very strange and sad. Pero lo más fuerte fue que mi ticket era de $32 con cambio y le di un 10% de propina por darle algo pensando que se divide la propina con la chef fueron $10.70 fue bien extraño y triste. It really is a beautiful hotel, pool area is stunning and has nice views. All areas that we saw were very clean. However, Our breakfast for two people literally took over an hour to receive and the restaurant area was not crowded at all. Food was just ok-my husband ordered the boricua and I ordered the mangu. I was feeling nostalgic and found this great Puertorican restaurant. I live in the US and coming back to visit the island found this Excellent authentic Puertorican food. The service was excellent and treated us like family or long time friends. My sons and family loved everything we ate. And we ate a lot. Even took some home.
