We had an unforgettable dinner at Ode to the Elephants in Rincón. From the moment we walked in, everything felt calm, warm, and peaceful. The soft lighting, the open space, the wooden beams, and the tropical plants made us feel like we were tucked away in a private oasis. My wife and I ordered the chicken and shrimp drunken noodles and the combination fried rice with chicken and shrimp. Everything was full of flavor, made fresh, and perfectly balanced. The dumplings were soft and juicy, and the shrimp rolls were crispy and light. What truly made the night special was the kindness of the staff. They didn’t just serve us—they took care of us. The chef even made a special fish sauce with diced chili just for us. That’s the kind of love you feel in this place. I looked across the table and saw my wife smiling with joy, taking it all in. That moment alone made it worth the visit. This is not just a restaurant. It’s a hidden treasure where the food, the service, and the atmosphere come together to create something rare. If you’re ever in Rincón, don’t miss it. One of the best meals we’ve had, on or off the island. We’ll be back, no question.

You need to go inside Lazy Parrot to see ode to the elephants restaurant. Pad thai ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ so good and generous serving Gai Raf Prik ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s spicy and so flavorful GPKD ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s good Spring Rolls ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s good but need more veggies inside Shumai ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s good and big size per pc Iced ginger tea ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ good but a little sweet Ginger tea martini ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ good We visited twice to check the consistency of their food quality and it’s totally recommended. We will go back —- April 18,2025 We went again and ordered pad thai, shumai, gai raf prik and shrimp spring rolls. They’re all still good! And shumai is better than before. Rice is a kinda dry though.

I wanted to love this place! Our server was so delightful and the food was great! However, it was extremely understaffed. Wait for a table was long, and three drinks and 2 dishes we were interested in were gone by 6:30. Servers were just RUNNING and it was too much work for the two to handle no matter how hard they tried. There was also an art market with blasting club music down on the patio below. The dinner was pretty great—pork dumplings and green/massaman curries—but I would not return due to excessive wait times, feeling stressed on behalf of overworked servers, noise, and very long wait times.

I am so happy this restaurant is back albeit at a different location. The place is what you would expect in Rincon: nature connected, cool, and friendly. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. But the star of the experience, as it should be, was the food. I strongly recommend trying level 1 in spiciness and then selecting 2 and 3 as your palate withstands.

We tried the appetizers: satay chicken, the friend calamari, and the curry puffs. They were excellent.

The entrees included Pad Thai, Garlic Noodles, the Green Papaya Salad (low spice), and the Drunken Noodles. They were super tasty and delicious.

We skipped dessert since we were more than adequately fed. This is a must...
