Don't let the humble looks of this place (food truck) fool you (roaming roosters & kitties included)!
We've eaten at every place in Rincón. Here they welcome you immediately. We were staying at Flamboyan's Apartment Air B&B and this truck was a convenient 10 minute walk (on super hot days be sure to take a bottle of water w/you to stay hydrated during the walk).
They open super early (6am -12pm) for coffee, different fritters, traditional breakfast (oatmeal, pancakes, eggs, toast, fries) BUT if you ask what hot food they've got cooking in the back....... you'll find the best home country cooking.... rice, beans, different meats (ribs, chicken, pork chops), soups, sancocho, varying from day to day. You can sit & eat or take it to go. The truck reopens later in the day for pizza service.
Today we had yellow rice mixed with white beans , stewed turkey, & a simple salad. Generous portion for $6. Had it for breakfast and I for sure won't even need lunch. Best part..... when you rave about how good it was..... you can see the workers...
