I have been coming to La familia restaurant for years, they have great food but have had below average customer service here a couple of times & today topped the cake. I came last week and when I went to order they told me they did not have any salads that’s alright brushed it off. I come again today early so they don’t have excuses that they sold out and again no salads. It’s a regular plate on their menu so I asked the waiter what happened that you don't have salads. They tell me that the person in charge of picking up the ingredients did not wake up early to get groceries for restaurant. I replied that it would be nice that the person would wake up to get the groceries. I did not want pizza today so I decided to leave. When I am about to get into my vehicle the female owner runs towards my car screaming at me yanks my door aggressively & did not let me leave. I told her very clearly that I did not want pizza. She was pissed that I told the waiter that the person in charge should get up to do their duties. The female owner kept screaming, very uneducated and unprofessional. I thought for a moment she was going to hit me. I had to get out of my vehicle and asked to talk to the male owner. Very nicely we talked and he said we've had three incidents in the past. Wrong. I’ve come to pick up my pizza order and payed in cash and instead of them bringing back my change they stayed with it so I asked for my change and the daughter of the owner was not happy about it.. said “we round up the bill & stay with the money. I can decide to give a tip for pick up service but it’s not correct to stay with full amount of change. Month later another “occasion” happens. I tried calling when they opened so I can make a pick up order and no one answers.. I mean we got to the restaurant & decided to order and asked why they don’t answer some times & they tell me when they are busy the owner tells them Not to answer the store phone at all. I’m sorry but for running a business this is ridiculous i don’t know of any other place that does this… not even the food trucks that have business phones have such poor customers service like this restaurant. You can’t even have an opinion at this place.. they get upset and you can’t even talk to them like civilized people. No words to describe their unprofessionalism. Lastly again the lady comes into my car while I’m trying to leave and screams telling me I have to shut off my headlights. While I was speaking to the male owner she kept on screaming at a distance and then rushed over to us again and yells that this conversation is over and that her husband should not be talking more to me. While we were talking the male owner even agreed with me that the daughter should not have taken the money and round it off. That is incorrect so I have never had any arguments with them. In fact, last week the female owner threw the pizza on the table at one of my employees about 4 in away with a very bad attitude and a very mean face and now this happens today. If you own a restaurant you are going to have customers come back, ask questions about the menu and if the owners cannot answer the questions without getting offended than it’s a problem. They should not be running this type of business if they have issues dealing with the public. Very disappointing. I've never had this situation in my 58 years in a restaurant that I...

Four years ago, at the lazy parrot location, I received two pizzas. One of them was obviously different looking than the other. I alone ate the pepperoni and had an extreme case of food poisoning.
My wife finally convinced me to try it again.
So... we ordered a pizza and salad for carry out and were told that it would be ready in 30 minutes. We show up 45 minutes later and they don’t have our order. Which is fine because mistakes happen, but Gaby’s wife tried to convince us that we had called the wrong phone number. After showing her that we had called the correct number, she seemed disinterested and wouldn’t offer to start our order. So we left... upset.
We are Now at Napoletana downtown and our pizza was ready in 10 minutes. No hassle no fuss.
We used to get pizzas from Gaby regularly especially when he had the street cart location in front of his house.
During these crazy times, I hope all small businesses succeed, and recognize that COVID restrictions have hindered everything involving the restaurant business, but I personally will never be back for a somewhat average artisan coal fired thin crust.
However, no hard feelings here. I would like to wish good luck to Mi Familia despite their inept customer service/problem solving/management issue.
Amanda is great!!! XO
RIP to BROTHERS PIZZA!!! You will be forever...

I had a very disappointing experience here. I went in at 4 PM to place a to-go order in person — well within their posted business hours (they close at 8 PM). Despite that, they refused to take my order because they were “too busy.”
What made it worse is that, while I was standing there, they were still accepting walk-in dine-in customers — even telling them there’d be a one-hour wait. So let me get this straight: you’re too busy to pack up a to-go order, but you’re fine seating people who are going to sit for an hour or more? That didn’t make any sense.
It felt arbitrary and dismissive. There was no apology, no attempt to accommodate me, just a flat-out refusal.
If you can’t handle basic customer service and manage your orders fairly, maybe reconsider how you’re operating. I won’t be coming back, and I’d suggest others think twice before wasting...
