From Scratch Cuisine — Restaurant in Rincón

I’ve written and rewritten this review 5x already because I genuinely don’t know how to even put into words how bad our experience was here

It took 2 hours for us to get our food. 2 hours. No exaggeration (I wish I was, believe me). The people who were seated before us said “this is ridiculous” and they stormed out of the place angry after only trying a few bites of their food

It doesn’t matter how good the food is, this place is not worth going to. The absolute worst service I’ve probably ever had in my life and that’s saying a lot from a foodie who eats out often.

I’m pregnant and have a 1 year old daughter. I was starving to the point of being ill from the wait and my daughter was up an hour past her bed time so she was wild and my husband had to walk around the parking lot the whole time to keep her from screaming. So inconsiderate of the place to even have sat us knowing how long it would take to get us food

Oh and we were 1 of 2 parties left in the whole place for the last 30 minutes. We were there an hour 15 minutes after...

First, not only this place is very, very good, but it is owned by 2 young puertoricans. The Lara brothers proudly owns this restaurant and it has become a favorite of us. Mi wife loves guanimes con bacalao, a dish that can be traced back to the Taínos. Trust me, there is no other place that serves guanimes like From Scratch Cuisine. It is one of favorite items in the menu for locals. Highly recommended!

I decided to try el Jíbaro Mac and Cheese. Excellent! Since the first visit, we have visited the restaurant in a few occasions. I have tried Fish and Chips, Risotto, Three Cheese Mac & Cheese with Pull Pork and my favorite: Fish Tacos. Chef Gerardo never ceases to amaze me.

The service is always good and the prices are very reasonable. It doesn’t get any better than that. Visit them the next time you...

My husband and I were blown away by the deliciousness of the food here. The quality of their food is high, but the prices are not. The classic Risotto Croquettes with Quava sauce are PHENOMENAL!!! I had their special, which at the time was Red Snapper, and it was so delicious. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak, and it was so flavorful!! The service was great and they spoke english which was very much appreciated. I have saved this wonderful restaurant in my Google Maps Puerto Rico folder so that we can be sure to find it again when we go back to the beautiful...
