The Beach House Restaurant is undeniably cute, with a beautiful view overlooking the water. We sat upstairs on the second floor, where we could hear live music playing downstairs, which added to the ambiance. Unfortunately, the charm of the setting was overshadowed by an incredibly disappointing service experience.
Our waitress, Tatiana, was unpleasant from the start. We requested no salt on our tostones, but she failed to relay this to the kitchen—not once, but twice. Both times, the tostones came out heavily salted. When I asked her to fix it, her response was defensive and unprofessional.
Later, my mother asked for a glass of water, but Tatiana brought five bottled waters instead and walked away without clarifying. When we tried to return the extra bottles, she refused to take one back, claiming her manager wouldn’t allow it—even though it was untouched and unopened. After some back and forth, she begrudgingly took the bottle with a dismissive attitude.
When the check arrived, we noticed she had added a 20% gratuity for herself, even though we were a party of five (the menu clearly states gratuity is only added for parties of six or more). We were baffled, as the service did not warrant such a tip. Tatiana claimed her manager gave her authority to add the gratuity, which felt completely unjustified given her rude behavior and the poor service we experienced.
We asked to speak to the manager, Michael, who eventually came to our table and apologized for the errors and the inappropriate addition of the tip. He corrected the charges, and we paid our bill. While Michael’s professionalism was appreciated, it’s disappointing that it took escalating the situation to address such basic issues.
Overall, the food was decent, and the atmosphere was lovely, but the service was some of the worst I’ve ever encountered. Tatiana’s behavior was unprofessional, inhospitable, and completely contrary to what we expected from such a beautiful establishment. I hope the staff receives retraining in customer service, as this experience left a sour impression on an otherwise charming spot.
2/5 stars for the view and the manager’s effort to rectify...

Read moreUnfortunately, family and I stumbled upon this place while passing through the area in search of a bite. Where to start? Abysmal service. Hostess was inattentive and distracted. Personally I ordered the chicken quesadillas which somehow were both excessively salted/seasoned yet the chicken itself was bland tasting with a strange unpalatable texture. I ended up sending it back when waitress came to check on us. Surprisingly she simply grabbed the plate without asking what was wrong with it, nor did she offer any alternative or ask whether I'd like to look at the menu again. In fact she didn't utter a single word and just took the plate and walked away. She didn't come back to check on us again for a good while after that and I began to realize that she was either unwilling or incapable of reading/reacting to the situation. By that time of the day, I was too hot and tired to point out these deficiencies to her directly. So I remained silent and resigned myself to taking a few bites of what remained of my kids 'cheese quesadillas, which they did not finish for good reason as these were only slightly better than the chicken quesadillas and barely average, The only redeeming food item was my wife's chicken skewer that she seemed to enjoy, though didn't rave about it. At least the bottled water tasted ok. Overall, I give this place a D for it's lack of service and mediocre overpriced food. I would avoid it even if you find yourself utterly desperate. Not...
