Red Diamond Chinese Buffett — Restaurant in Rio Grande City

Today is Dec 2023. I will give you my honest review . I've only been to this place 4 times. With my family and once by myself. I looked around Rio Grande City for some Asian type food. I was not able to find any place.

Atmosphere: place looked clean except for the table we sat on. Keep in mind there was only a few people. I call this place "the Trap". Why because there isn't any other place in town that serves oriental food. So most people say I will go to this place and guess what It's a big mistake everytime.

Food is cold or half warm. No flavor, mostly stale breaded food . Hard to chew. And if you ever eat here you will agree that the pork BBQ pieces of meat they have will make you regret eating there. The workers there will walk by your table 5 or 6 times then ask you do you need a refill? The fruit they had was limited . Do eat the watermelon that isn't fresh. If you want to get diarrhea or stomach pain go ahead and try this place out. As you can see from most of the review this place show give up their spot and let a real Chinese food place give it a try. Panda express is probably your best choice while you travel through Rio Grande City.

Honestly, this place is sometimes a hit or miss. My family and I always go to this buffet because we crave Chinese food as one does lol, Ive read other reviews on this place saying that the water under the food treys weren't even boiling, Im guessing the reastrant owners paid more attention on what people say because personally I've never had an experience with cold food at this buffet. They have a BBQ side where you can make your own plate and they cook it up this is good if you're paying attention to what you eat, they also have menus (my dad usually gets a surf and turf fried rice). The food was cold, and made us sick later that same day. We were told that it was because the air conditioning and fans were hitting the food, but, even after stirring, it wasn't warm enough.the water below the table was not boiling.

The food containers themselves were cold enough that i could place my finger on there for long enough that i got bored. I mean, even the ice cream scoop was dirty with non flowing water. I probably consumed most of my calories in soda on this visit in order to wash the flavor out.
