I really hate to give this place a bad review. But after a couple of days of thinking it over, I decided that it may be constructive criticism. In hopes that the future of this place gets better. My wife and I just had appetizers and 4 drafts. I did have the sampler appetizer which is the the largest on the appetizer menu. My wife had flatbread pizza. The flatbread pizza is not flat it's the same pizza that was on the bar when it was ponderosa. Thick and doughy. The potato skins on mine were way over cooked and they substituted waffle fries because they were out of onion rings and covered them in cheese which I didn't ask for. They must have been under a heat lamp or something because the cheese was hard and you had to tear them apart. The menu says that the sampler was $13.99, but I was charged $14.99. The waitress did fix this issue which wasn't a problem. But for approximately 2 weeks of being open they've been over charging customers on this item. I was told that it was now fixed in the system. The prices are a little higher than a restaurant of this type should be charging. Like I said we did have 4 draft beers with are meals that we couldn't really eat. We were charged $45 and change. Which was previously $47 and change before the mistake I found on the sampler price. I just think thats to much money to be charging to eat from the appetizer menu, but we did have have 4 drafts. And I'm not sure exactly what the price of those were because adult beverages are not on the main menu. Is there a drink menu? Like I said, I hate giving this review because when it was ponderosa, it was spot on.. We'll probably go back, but I'll...

I enjoyed my first visit to Roadhouse. I would like to say it's something that I could eat on a regular basis, but it's just average. I got the Patty Melt with no onions, and my fiance got the Philly Cheese Steak. We both enjoyed our food. The burger was average, under seasoned to my liking and I'm not a huge fan of seasoning. The burger tastes as though it was freezer kept meat and thawed out, but don't get me wrong it was a good burger. The Philly Cheese was definitely not fresh either, and it was cooked in so much oil that it was hard to eat the ends of the bun. I would like to have the juice from the steak and not oil. The meat was dry.

I enjoyed our visit, but the worst part and the reason for the 3 ⭐ would be the waitress and her negative attitude. She didn't have anything good to say and complained about the layout of the restaurant, the other waiters and waitresses and how busy she was. She asked if I wanted a refill at the end of our meal. That was the first and only time. Thank goodness I didn't need anything although my drink was empty. She spent too much time talking to other waitresses and waiter than check on her table. I was able to watch 2.5 rounds of the Paulo Costa vs Marvin Vetorri UFC fight before she came back to our table. That's a minimum of 16.5 minutes and that's being generous.

I don't know if we will return. The steaks looked good, but were small portions for the price compared to other...

The ribs were trimmed back so far that the only meat on them is the tiny bit between the bones. They were so tough that I couldn't get them apart. I took them home to put in the pressure cooker. The popcorn shrimp was so overcooked that they were hard and crunchy and difficult to eat. They cut up the inside of my mouth. The salmon was only about 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide. I've had bigger salmon fillets at truck stops, although it was perfectly cooked. The rice was so overcooked that it was mushy. It was room temperature and wouldn't even melt butter. The lemons need to be cut lengthwise into wedges so they can be squeezed and I don't have to squeeze the pulp with my fingers. The carrots in the mixed vegetables were bitter. The chicken sandwich with bacon was good, as was the burger. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table and over an hour for our food. The waitress was very good. She was friendly, conscientious and attentive. She was the best part of our visit. The men's restroom door swings the wrong way. When the door opens, anyone at the urinals is in full view of the lobby. You'd think that a company that has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years could have done a...

Updated review, returned 5 Jan around 4pm Ordered the clam strips for an appetizer. They were really good, great sauce with just the right amount of spice. Got the meat loaf with sweet potato fries and the Mac and cheese. My wife got the country fried steak with the roadhouse Mac and cheese and the onion rings. All of the food was good and served hot. We personally were not fans of either Mac and cheese, but many may like them both. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries, best we’ve ever had. The onion rings were great. The restaurant does an amazing job with fried food, they must regularly change the oil and clean the fryer. It all tasted great and the food came out clean without a bunch of nasty pools of grease. The big catch remains my favorite at 2081. 2081 is easily the best Jackson County has to offer. We’ve eaten at the others a few times each and know from experience. Others are not as flavorful, more greasy, tasteless, not as clean etc. A 5/5/5 at the price point, no matter the location.

New place in town vibe!! It was tasty, I'd return, I do feel it's a bit pricy for little ole Ripley, but I had the Grilled salmon and it was worth it. The bread app could be a little different? Like man I was thinking cinnamon butter would be awesome to go with the bread vs just butter. My sister had the shrimp skewers and it was -ok-, mom had the philly cheese steak and it was very good! But yeah back to the price our table bill just, man it felt like we were in Charleston or Parkersburg. I hope they stick around though, perhaps some kinda happy hour at the bar would be neat! And it's nice they have a bar at all, knowing Ripley... Our waitress was great, very attentive! Though we were there at like 4pm so it wasn't hammered busy.

The food was average , I opted for the steak & shrimp special which was an extension of the buffet. The steak was cooked well. Shocked at the all you can eat steak option though. After 1 plate I was stuffed. My wife and daughter felt the dinner buffet was lacking in option. There seemed to have more desserts. For those who have a bigger appetite it's great value if your looking for basic food and your hungry. The restaurant definitely needs some updates , the building is old and the decor looks original maybe 30+ years old. Service was good by our server.
