Gold Dust Pizza Ripon — Restaurant in Ripon

I just called to place an order. I asked what the specials were today and the lady that answered said that they are the same as everyday. I told her that i don’t know what they are. She told me that they had two specials that it was a giant two topping or a large specialty. They both came with cheesy bread sticks and a large soda. I asked her how much for the giant she told me $23. I told her i would like that pepperoni and would like to add an additional cheesy sticks. She then told me it comes with it. I advised i know i would like to add another one. She told me my total was $43. I hung up and thought that’s not right. Was trying to ask how much just for the cheese sticks. The other lady Kim c that answered said 9 with tax. I asked why mine was so much since i just placed in a order. Asked for my name i stated laura told me hold on then was like for Noel right. I was explaining my situation and she kept saying so you want to cancel it then. I never said i wanted to just asking why so much. I get that you may be busy but it’s not ok to not pay attention to whoever is calling and making customers repeat themselves. I was very disappointed with the call and not having the customer service. You have to pay attention to when people are talking and make sure they get all the attention they need. No longer the great Pizza Plus pizza you have come to expect. The crust was paper thin and the majority of toppings slid right off the pizza. The crust was almost rubbery, tough to bite through and chew. Have been coming here occasionally (two to three times a year, I live in Modesto and would come to Ripon because we loved the quality of the pizza) for the last ten years. We came back today for my sons 18th birthday meal because he remembered how great the pizza WAS. Sadly it is not the same. Great customer service but nearly inedible pizzas. We ordered their Miner special and had a BBQ chicken pizza. They didn’t have the red onion that their own recipe calls for(no one could take a quick trip to Save Mart and buy a few red onions for the night?). We ordered the mozzarella breadsticks (basically a cheese pizza with no sauce) that come with the deal and were sadly disappointed that the mozzarella that they use now is bland and tasteless compared to what they used to have, not to mention has a rubbery mouth feel and doesn’t give you that lovely “cheese pull” experience it used to. I hate to write this because we have such great memories of how good Pizza Plus a was, but Gold Dust Pizza is not even close to what they used to have in Pizza Plus. Sorry. Where are the adults at when you need them 2x.

This is a second time customer coming in. And the management here is very bad.

Our first experience here was horrible. We waited for over 2 hours for our pizza. ON TOP OF IT ALL after waiting for more than 1 hour and 20 minutes the staff here informed us that they were out of the two items we ordered.

Giving the benefit of the doubt we decided to try you guys again, second time around, we come and we ordered one specialty & one 3 topping pizza.

We got the specialty pizza after 45 minutes and it was definitely not a hot pizza. I did ask what happened to the pizza and managers response goes “I don’t touch the pizza we just take it out to you.” That response was just upsetting and I let her know that she was not even acknowledging the fact that they made a mistake. And every time I mentioned that she was not acknowledging our concerns she continued to justify that there was absolutely nothing wrong. SECONDLY, our three topping pizza did not come out. We asked for it and they have no idea what happened to it. We requested for a refund and the manager said that you can have a refund but not the pizza.
