Chicken Express — Restaurant in River Oaks

I love chicken express as a company but this is the worst chicken express I ever been to. Just recently moved to this side of town and been to this location 3 times. First time it was night so they where almost closing chicken was dry and hard but I gave them a pass because it was the end of shift so I assumed employees where probably just ready to go home. 2nd time my wife went around lunch time. SAME PROBLEM, HORRIBLE FOOD!

Today I went in the morning they where probably open no more then 15 minutes. So my thoughts are what could possibly go wrong when you literally just pulled it out the grease. SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. Mind you it’s about to snow outside so I spent $40 on family meal because the kids are home. They bit into the tenders and almost broke their teeth.

I gave this place the opportunity to fool me 3 times so that’s over $100 of food that I have thrown in the trash. I don’t understand how management of an establishment that handles food can continue to let this happen. Corporate most definitely needs to take a look at this location and get it fixed. I rather drive up the street to KFC or if I have the energy fry my own because this is place clearly have no knowledge of proper food handling.

Chicken express is not a cheap company but the good locations make us comfortable spending our money because they give quality food. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BEING...

I have had the worst experience I have ever had at any fast food drive-thru in Texas. First let me say that they got my order incorrect they forgot my French fries and they did not even ask me if I wanted a biscuit or roll that's what got me to the drive-thru the second time. So as I'm waiting the car in front of me had a dog who the cook the cashier and then it's supposedly the manager who I spoke with all petted the dog more than once and then proceeded to wait on me whatever I pulled up to the window they did not have enough time to wash their hands and that is absolutely the most unsanitary situation I've ever ever encountered and it is unacceptable especially in this day and time with us just getting through covid. The only one that I can say that acted responsibly was the young man who was actually taking the drive-thru orders if it was me I wouldn't waste my time ever going back to that Chicken Express again because I could not guarantee you what you might encounter there best of luck to all of you who choose to continue...

030725: They've gone and done it again! Friday evening my family wanted fried chicken so they sent me for Chicken Express. I got there and the staff was great! They had to help me when I called home to describe the menu items so my family could tailor their dinners. Well, I made it home with a dinner that was missing a side dish. I called about it and they said I had to bring back the whole meal for them to add in the missing side order. They said they'd give me a gallon the sweet tea for my trouble. I don't like sweet tea, but I wanted my mother's dinner to be wonderful, so I stopped eating my dinner and went back to Chicken Express. They provided me with more than a gallon of sweet tea for my trouble! I was able to take my mother a fresh, hot meal, which made her happy. When my momma's happy, I'm happy! Thank you, Kaitlyn for making my mama smile!
