We visited the restaurant today for a late lunch before the hubby went to work. I arrived before he did so I was to order for the both of us and when he arrived the food would be on the way or waiting. When I arrived they were not busy. It was between 2:00 - 2:30. The man (not a teenager) that seated me said he would also be our waiter. I explained to him that I only needed a few minutes and needed to order before the other person arrived. I was told he would return in a few minutes. He said he understood and gave me no reason to doubt him UNTIL I had to go looking for him 15 minutes later. As I got up, found him mopping floors, and spoke to him about me needing him to take my order he said he would be right there. That was another 5 minutes to get right there. So he takes the order and as he is taking the order from me my husband walks in and was expecting to be past this part of the experience. He was limited on time because he had to leave for work soon. So, after I gave him the order I asked that he put it in right away. At no time since I arrived had I been rude or impolite to this man so I asked him had I offended him or would he prefer just to not wait on us and hand us over to another waiter or waitress. He assured me there were no problems and would put the order in right away. Within the next 10 minutes the food was being brought out to the table! Quick service! WOW! Well it was brought out by a different person. Our waiter was not the one that brought out the food. Our waiter in fact NEVER came back to the table. No one asked if we wanted refills on drinks (soda) or if the food was alright. I mean no one. Finally there was a young lady at the register so I went there and asked that she find another waiter that would be capable of waiting on us. Before she had the chance to do anything this young man named Eduardo stepped up to me, asked where we were seated, followed me over to the table and without being asked to do anything he grabbed up empty plates, and said he would be right back with drink refills and some more chips. He was true to his word and returned in less that 2 minutes. He apologized for his co worker and although we were finished eating he brought out boxes for the leftovers. There may not have been leftovers had the waiter came back in the beginning because when the food came out of the kitchen it wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either. It was room temperature. I brought it home and reheated mine so I had some dinner and the hubby's will be waiting on him when he gets home from work. He had the skirt tacos and I had a chili relleno and enchilada combo. The beans and rice were room temperature as well. We have been to this restaurant on so many occasions. We know that this has never been the norm (for us) but today was just to much. I can tell you that it will be awhile before we return but when we do I will be asking for Eduardo to wait on us. He really stepped up and although it was the end of the meal we still made sure he had a tip in his pocket. The other man that seated me should be fired or put to sweeping and mopping and cleaning toilets. Not waiting on customers. Oh and although we did not request that a manager come to the table we think he or she should have came out...
Read moreI wish I could give a negative star rating. We ordered take out for 2 dinners with a extra bag of chips and salsa. We noticed they forgot the chips and salsa and notified them nicely about the error. The guy working behind the counter decided to give us the chips and salsa after debating it. We paid for it so I am not sure why it was an issue. The price seemed about $6.00 too high, however thier reciept is not detailed so you cannot tell what you paid for. When asking the cashier, he got offended. After, we returned home with our order, we noticed our meals where completely wrong. We called the restaurant and explained the situation. The employee seemed like they didn't care and that we were in the wrong. For some reason the employee wanted to argue about it. After 2 people spoke to the employee, they decided to remake our meal. We were very specific with what we were wanting. They seemed to understand and repeat it back to us. Back to the restaurant we went. Well I was a little frustrated with the employee's attitude so I sent someone else. My mistake. When, they returned home with the meal it was still wrong. The food looked nasty and watered down. I called the restaurant again. The manager told us that it was not his problem that it was ours and they will not make the meals correct or refund us. I advised the manager we will not purchase anything from thier restaurant again and will give them a bad review. He said he didn't care that we could do what we want. I would not recommend anyone eating or buying anything from this restaurant. You would be better off eating...
Read moreI have seen the light, and it comes in the form of a sizzling platter of fajitas. If there is Mexican food in Heaven, I’m convinced the angels are placing takeout orders from this place.
Let’s start with the chips and salsa—so good they should come with a warning label: Highly Addictive. You say you’ll just have a few, and the next thing you know, the basket is empty, and you’re wondering if you can legally ask for a third refill without shame.
The fajitas? Pure magic. The kind of sizzling, aromatic, perfectly seasoned wonder that makes you rethink every life choice that led you to eating anything other than this. The tamales? So fluffy and delicious, I’m convinced someone’s abuela back there is whispering sweet nothings to the masa. And the steak burrito? It’s like a glorious, beefy hug wrapped in a tortilla—a life-changing experience, really.
Now, let’s talk margaritas. These are not your average, watered-down lime disappointments. No, these are crazy delicious, the kind that make you consider whether you should order another round or just start naming your future children after them.
The service is just as outstanding—the staff treats you like family, assuming your family regularly brings you baskets of warm chips and endless happiness.
If you haven’t eaten here yet, I have only one question: Why do you hate joy? Get yourself a table and prepare for a meal that will ruin all other Mexican...
