Oriental Buffet — Restaurant in River View Township

CHILD LABOR, NO FOOD, NO DRINKS AND DIRTY BATHROOMS

We went to this Restaurant on a Friday night around 8pm. There was a young Boy no older than 10 behind the counter playing a Video game and picking his nose. He got up, showed us to a table and took our drink order. He then loudly relayed our order to an unseen person in the kitchen. We stood in line at the buffet to get some of the food that was available. It seemed every other item was out. Fried Rice was not available, neither were several Chicken dishes, stuffed mushrooms, the Sushi bar was mostly empty and there was no lettuce at the Salad bar. Neither Egg Drop Soup nor Hot and Sour Soup were available. This Restaurant serves Crab Legs on Fridays. The three Crab Legs looked a bit gray and dried out, so we didn't try those. After a long wait I ended up with some Sushi, Pepper Chicken, General Tsao's Chicken and white Rice. My Husband waited even longer for Pans to be refilled and ended up with Crab Rangoon, Egg Rolls, Potstickers and a Chicken Broccoli dish.

While we were waiting for food to be refilled, I observed the young boy clear tables, show people to their seats and take drink orders. Our drinks (Water and Sweet Tea) finally came towards the end of our meal. The Waiter did not bring straws. I asked for one and he said he would return (He never did). The food we ate was hot and good, but we did observe that the crab legs were put out three at a time, making it virtually impossible for a larger group of people to eat at the same time if all of them want Crab Legs.

I cannot imagine the places, the people who have given this establishment 4 or 5 stars, have eaten. The food here is not remotely worth what they charge. I took the kids here because it was their turn to choose a restaurant, and they always choose buffet style. This was the closest so we ended up here. Far and away the worst I've been to. Every chicken dish tasted the same, and I wasn't brave enough to try what they were calling beef. Never say actual beef that was quite that shade of gray. Staff were not pleasant nor unpleasant. Seemed to be completely indifferent to the fact that there were customers there at all. Didn't refill our drinks. Look I'm not expecting much out of these types of places but this place didn't even come close to my meagre expectations. I gave it a two for the simple fact that it was clean , and no one got sick from eating there. Three people , one age 9, one age 11 and one, well we'll just say one adult. Two waters and a...

It's been awhile since I was here. Prior I haven't had my service dog with me. I was denied service unless I could show paperwork. None of them knew anything about the laws and demanded paperwork that doesn't exist, by law. Not until we called the police did they actually let me sit down. At this point I wasn't leaving just because of the injustice of it. I love the food and atmosphere, but I'll never eat here again with staff and management. I understand people don't always understand the laws and am happy to educate someone, but if your going to be rude to me from the beginning, I have no patience for you.

Update: While we were eating one of the waitresses actually came over to apologize. She wanted to learn more about Service Animal laws. I was happy to help her, and she was very friendly. Makes me feel a little better about the whole experience. So they all aren't bad and I wanted to say she did an amazing job. I still don't like their rude...
