some of the worst service you will ever receive. when I first arrive to this restaurant, I had high hopes; the outside area looks pretty cool, and the menu has a good variety of food ( Like in most latin restaurants, the sodas are not free refills). When the waitress took our order, I said to myself, " I will definitely be coming back to this place. Our first disappointment was waiting for the food for about 45 minutes, but it happens sometimes, so no big deal there. Then half of our food arrived first, and the other half about 5 minutes later, ok. Since the waitress didn't seem to be anywhere to be found I asked the food runner for an order of fries. We were done with our meals, and the fries never came, but I thought it was my fault because I didn't order from our waitress, but, again, she wasn't available. Then, I flagged another waitress, so she could get our server so we could pay. It took about 10 minutes for the server to come back after that, and she came back with the order of fries (about 40 minutes after I had order them). Here I did something I never do: I sent the fries back, and I asked for the check. The check was hard to read because there is no description of the items, just the prices. The waitress seemed annoyed when I asked her to explain what was I paying for, since the check seemed odd. then she realized that we were being overcharged an item. Warning: it is easy to pay for extra items when your check doesn't say what you are paying for, and I bet it happens often. Over all, even though the service was horrible, I still tipped the waitress around 25% because I don't blame her; I blame the management. I only saw two waitresses in the patio area, and I bet every customer was getting the same kind of service we were getting. Usually, one experience doesn't make me decide not to ever come back to a place. However, in this case there are many bad things going on with the service that I don't think that there will ever be good, or even ok, service in this place, so I will never go back to...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place when I was driving around looking for a bite to eat with the family. I've had Salvadoran food before, but ask my mom what she thought about a good place to have Salvadoran food. She said she knew about this one restaurant, so we checked it out and I thought I would give it a try. I swung by, and they were empty (too late for lunch and a tad early for dinner). I walked right up to the counter and got seated right away. I got three pupusas, and they were ready in ten minutes. The pork & cheese one was fantastic and super gooey. The pork one was by far my favorite with a nice mix of meat and cheese. The bean one was my least favorite as it was a tad dry. The pupusas themselves were fresh, hand-made, and were bigger than I expected. I kind of just wish I had gotten two of them as three just made me so full. But I could not stop eating. I also had sopa de res (beef soup), and we also got yuca con chicharrón (casaba & fried pork). Everything was so yummy! If I'm around this part of town, I'd definitely stop here again. I'm not disappointed at all with this place. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStaff provided excellent service. Our waitress was very attentive and our order was placed correctly. The pupusas were delicious and reasonably priced. The beverages (Horchata & Tamarindo) were also good. My husband and I ordered a variety of pupusas from the menu and we were not dissapointed. There were a lot of good pupusa options to choose from and they were all tasty. The only reason they don't get a 5 star review from us is because the place was a bit chilly inside (we went in January) and it felt like the heater was not on at a proper temperature. Also, be aware if you order the ātamal de eloteā that comes with crema (the crema is an extra $2 up charge and the menu doesnāt tell you that anywhere). Usually in other places, the tamal de elote comes with crema on the side for the same price so this was a surprise for us. Other than this, I do...
