This place is what you would call a poor excuse of a business. Tonight I went there as I have on several occasions and has never experienced such unprofessional and disgusting display of employees. After ordering my food and only living approximately 3 minutes from the restaurant to find out that they gave me cold, old and dried out chicken was a big disappointment. So I called up to reach out to the manager in which someone answered the phone and never came back, they just left me on hold. I was on hold for so long that I got in my car to drive back up there to sit in the drive-thru( still on the phone waiting for a manager) I was on hold so long that I sat in the drive-thru for over 30 minutes and was still on hold when I reached the speaker. At that time whomever it was (a guy) that answer the speak, I told him to tell his manager that she can now pick up the phone and address the issue at hand. At this time your “manager “ Latasha Brown if that’s even her name gets on the speaker yelling and screaming at me, insinuating I was yelling at her. By the time I got to the window she still never came to address the situation she sent a gentleman to the window that stated that he was the manager by the name of Micheal Watson but when I requested to just receive a refund at this time she come over to the window and does the refund. I’m an assistant manager as well and has been in the industry for over 20 years and has never seen such display of a manager in charge. She’s lucky that she doesn’t work for any of the companies that I have worked for because she would definitely have been standing in the unemployment line and if I can, I will go over in store management to ensure she’s not dealing with the public because she is not fit to be in that position and is sure that is not the image becoming of a Popeyes employee. Where do I start? The service at this Popeyes is beyond unprofessional. Every time I go, there’s either food missing from my order or the staff is acting like they’re being forced to work. But last night was the final straw.
I arrived 40 minutes before closing and the outside screen was already off. When I tried to order, I was told they only had one chicken sandwich and “chicken” nothing else. I asked for tenders and was told the “oven was already off,” which makes no sense because tenders are fried, not baked. It was just pure laziness.
The guy on the headset was carrying on a whole conversation with someone else while trying to take my order. I have the recording on my phone, and I fully intend to report it to corporate once I figure out where to send it.
My kids went to bed hungry last night because of this. It broke my heart. Everything else nearby was closed, and even Wendy’s next door had system issues. To top it off, the drive-thru was a disaster. I couldn’t leave because cars were just sitting at the window waiting for food instead of being told to park, and I couldn’t back out either because a car was behind me.
What made it even worse? The employee kept calling me “twin” like we were best friends. I’m a grown man I’m not from Atlanta, I don’t use that slang, and I find it completely disrespectful in a business setting.
This was a horrible experience all around. Management needs to step in, retrain their team, and actually hold people accountable or just shut the place down.
And before I wrote this review, I’ve tried calling numerous times so I can get in touch with a manager and maybe speak to them before having to write a Google review and unfortunately you can never get an answer I know from the previous times of ordering food and things were missing and I’ve tried to call. She called the district manager but while she was on the phone she announced to everyone that there was a big white guy that was here so basically she was racial profiling me cuz soon as the only white gentleman in the place I will tell everyone to stay clear of this place they do not believe in customer service and I'll also tell any white person to stay clear this place because they did not want white people visiting this locations. I have called corporate office. the manager who wants to racial profile people her name is Barbara.
