Truthfully this is the most accurate Checker's we have ever dined with. We were visiting the area and in the 2 days we dined with them our food was fresh, hot and accurate. The first night we were eating pretty late so the line was super slow and we assume it's because they make everything according to your order, which makes perfect sense. We weren't upset about the wait, just already tired and ready to get on the road. Nonethless, our food was accurate, hot and fresh. Even our, "no ice" portion of the order was correct and for Checker's, that is an accomplishment. The youg man working on the slow night was friendly and welcoming. He also apologized for their lack of drink carriers but he didn't place the blame on the business, he simply apologized which is uncommon and highly appreciated. The second night we went a bit earlier but the young lady working wasn't near as friendly as the gentleman that served us 2 nights prior which was a shocker. However, she did make sure we had what we needed. Many people have an, "I don't have to be your friend I only have to serve you," attitude and that is a horrible attitude to have. As consumers we, whether subconsciously or not, continuosly dine where people are kind. Most people aren't rude or unkind to friends, therefore serve with a friendly persona and clientel will increase along with repeat diners. All of these things equal job security. Ā Ā Ā Read morePulled in with two cars in front of me at the drive through.......15 minutes go by and the two cars in front of me left......I pull up to speaker to place order and no one would answer me. After waiting 5 more minutes I drove up to the window where an employee looked at me from behind the closed window and just walked away. They came back and motioned one hand slicing his throat. I yelled āwhatā so he would hear me. He walked over, opened the window, and preceded to tell me they were closed. I said, āwhat do you mean your closed, what time did you close?ā He hesitated then answered 5. I said that the hours posted and online do not state that they close at 5. At this point it was a little bit after 6. He said that he didnāt know what to say to me other then they are closed. I started to tell him that there was a line of cars in the drive thru and they might want to put a sign up and let them know but the employee felt it better to shut the window in the middle of me saying that. This is the same employee who while I was behind the two cars waiting had carried bags of food to a car that was in the order ahead and pick up lane. I am completely shocked and confused with the restaurant and the employees. I counted 7 cars waiting in the drive thru lane as I was leaving who I am sure also have no idea that they decided to just close for the day. Needless to say I left. I shouldn't have ever returned. On today, I thought I'd try this same location thinking the other experience was a unique one and that it was lunch time.
Today I went back and waited for 10 minutes to order because the machine is down (with no signage stating this), then the worker yelled at me when she finally did come one and overtalked me so she didn't hear my order correctly of course .I had to reorder at the window, then was over charged. When I brought this to the worker's attention, she snatched the receipt and allowed the window to slam. The manager obviously fixed the issue because the cash register opened and she walked off. The girl gave me two more receipts inside my bag with the correct amount on it, but that was it. She came back to the window, and after staring at me for about 30 seconds, I went ahead and asked for my refund. The worker , the same one,(with the grey contacts and crusty lips) told me it had been fixed and the item was actually free instead of rung up wrong. That's not what my bank account stated. I called the manager on the receipt and she said the amount would be put back on my card. Why didn't the worker state this?
