The Empanadus storefront is not only incredibly inviting, but the dining area also has the added benefit of being bathed in sunlight during the initial dusk hours. Such a captivating characteristic can only be complemented further by the charming and charismatic individuals who took my order 👍.
Visiting during such a sublime time of day, coupled with several dozen unique empanada flavors to select from, caused me to get lost in the marvelousness of it all. Given that this was a “quick snack on the go stop” I only ordered a few empanadas, so kudos on suggesting the bbq pork and for also recommending the chimichurri sauce. Those aren’t what I would typically order but they were damn near perfect. That plus a pepperoni really hit the spot, and helped keep me going for the rest of the evening 💪🔋.
Looking forward to trying out the beef, and definitely having another pepperoni, plus whatever else you’d suggest...
Read moreCozy place with a nice casual ambience in the heart of Rverside. Service was "automatic" "mechanical"kind of fast but it feel disconnected, no welcome, no how can I help you, barely talked. Big sign outside advertising soup, inside on the menu winter special, (2 empanadas with soup) and then soup today sign, decided to ask for soup, they didn't have any soup, then asked for 3 different flavors of empanadas they didn't have them. We ate other flavors and they were good but no that kind of flavor that makes you go wow. After we were done we decided to try the alfajor, grab it from the tiered basket display and stand by the cashier to pay for it, the attendants saw us and never asked if we needed something, we sat down and ate the dessert, we could easily just leave without paying for it. We called them so they can charge for the alfajor and then we left. They should be a little more careful...
Read moreThis place is in Riverside on Burlington avenue. An area I'm very familiar with however, I've not had the pleasure of eating in this establishment till yesterday. 3/30/2022. I had two empanadas, a bowl of lentil soup, a Pellegrino and a dessert in which there is a picture here but I'm not sure of the name. First and foremost, the place is clean. That's the biggest issue for me overall second, while I'm not an empanada expert, these were very good. Fresh not dry. Flaky and flavorful. The two ladies that were there were delightful. I don't know if this is a good deal or not, but the empanadas I believe were $3.20 a piece. The soup was very good. Rivals my wife's lentil soup. The location is right off of Burlington train stop reasonable amount of parking and overall a very good place to visit. One caution, there's not very much seating area. See pictures. Definitely a...
