Wow... I am so disappointed in this place, please bring back the previous owners. I've been coming here for over 20 years and today is the first time that I've been thoroughly disappointed. We ordered a cheese pupusa, a chicharron and cheese pupusa, platanos fritos, and empanadas de leche. To drink We got an ensalada and a Salvadorean horchata. Starting with the Pupusas, the recipe has obviously changed (the cheese mix was wrong), it was still good, but not authentic like it used to be. We then received the order of platanos fritos and instead of getting real platanos fritos (with platanos machos) they served me these tiny little platanos burros. When I questioned it, I was told that what I had ordered was these and they gave me some of name of another dish saying the other dish was what I wanted. I'm off Salvadorean decent, I have grown up eating platanos fritos and can tell you this is the first time they've looked like this. I was so disappointed. The platano burro is a bit more tart and starchy as compared to the real platanos fritos (they should reference the picture on their menu for size reference). The horchata and ensalada are also very lack luster and tastes watered down. I didn't taste the empanadas, but I don't have high hopes for it. It's sad to say that after 20+ years I will not be coming back. Good bye Los Molcajetes, you were once great, but have now fallen from grace.

I can't help but sing praises for this delightful pupuseria! From the moment you walk in, the friendly and attentive staff make you feel right at home. And let me tell you, the food? Spectacular!Their pupusas are a must-try; each bite bursts with flavor, leaving you craving for more. But wait, it doesn't end there! After indulging in their heavenly pupusas, treat yourself to a plate of their incredible plantains. Trust me, it's the perfect sweet ending to a savory meal. Now, let's talk about their horchata. With two varieties available, Mexican and Salvadoran, there's something for everyone. Personally, I'm all about the Mexican horchata; its creamy, refreshing taste hits all the right notes for me.To top it all off, the restaurant itself is impeccably clean and tidy, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for a place with amazing food, friendly service, and a cozy ambiance, look no further than this gem of a pupuseria!

Tldr: Food is great Service is garbage Only eat here if you order ahead.

3 stars because the food carries and the restaurant looks fine

Wanted to bring my family here to eat. The place looked good was very lively and decently busy. We ordered food at exactly 4:51....we got is AN HOUR later. When we got it, every single thing we ordered was luke warm. The service is absolutely garbage, the table next to us didn't even get forks or knives they literally had to flag someone down. It was pretty obvious they prioritize take out orders. The ironic part is that while all the energy and time is spent on getting the take out orders as soon as possible, everyone in the actual restaurant gets forgotten. Even mote ironic is that out of the SEVEN take out orders they had ready, most all of them sat on the counter 40 minutes later while we still didn't have our food.

What makes it so disappointing is that the food itself is actually really quite good. I recommend ordering ahead and just taking it to go. Your food will still be hotter after taking it home than if you were to eat in the actual...

Totally disappointed. We have been here before and liked it as the atmosphere was friendly and the food was decent. But, I went in with my 86 year old mother, and feel as we were cheated. We ordered the fried tilapia combo listed at $15.99 on the menu, and we were charged $19.99! When I questioned it, the woman told me that it was a bigger fish than normal. I didn't ask for a bigger fish, nor was I asked if I wanted a bigger fish. Also, if this was the case, they never mentioned that a bigger fish would cost more when I ordered! In fact, it was no bigger than the one I ordered on a previous visit. On both occasions my mother and I share meals as we are very small people and can't finish a whole meal each. I absolutely feel fleeced. I did leave a tip, which was taken as I was at the register paying. Sad, because I would have made it a regular place for us to go because I had previously enjoyed it. Although feeling cheated, the staff have a pleasant in demeanor and the food was...
