eafood and Crawfish – Cajun Cravings Near Galleria at Tyler, but Falls Short on Execution Located in Riverside and just across the street from the shopping center: Galleria at Tyler, Seafood and Crawfish offers a rare Cajun-style seafood option in the area. Open until 10 PM, it’s a convenient spot for a late dinner after a long shopping day—especially when most other nearby restaurants are winding down. The storefront is visually appealing, with flashy signage and seafood-themed décor that continues throughout the interior. Walking in, you’re greeted by walls covered in ocean-inspired decorations, setting the stage for a flavorful meal. Unfortunately, the ambiance didn’t quite match the service. When I arrived, no staff acknowledged me until I had to call someone over to be seated. The service remained slow and inattentive throughout the visit. I ordered a half-pound each of whole shrimp and crawfish, with the house mix of Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper at mild spice level. The sauce was overly thick and heavy, masking rather than enhancing the seafood flavor. The shrimp were decent, offering the classic satisfaction of peeling and dipping, but the crawfish were disappointing—lacking tenderness, and many pieces were undersized and not fresh-tasting. To make matters worse, no water was offered, and I only received gloves and a bib after specifically requesting them, despite ordering messy boil-in-bag seafood. While the concept is promising and the location convenient, both the food quality and service standards need significant improvement.

👎 went their about twice a month sometimes more ordered 1 dr. Pepper & 2 sprites about $9.75 w/tax just for 3 sodas, the service!- lousy, never was asked for refills, problably because the owner had their 3 little ones running around and babysitting, the price of shrimp, $12.50 a pound at that time, they were very cheap with limes, i had to ask 4 times, they would come by after asking and drop about 6 slices of limes, disappointing! Had to ask for bibs half way thru dinner, They have actually got cheap with corn $1 for a half, disappointing! The sausage, they've gotten cheap with that too! They used to give you a hole for the price! They charged $2.45 for 2 small, i mean small pieces disappointing. What really did it, they charged for water! 0.01 wont make or break me, but was it necessary! $84 for dinner at seafood & crawfish was normal for me not including when we had beer but they lost my business!💩👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 I included my bill👀

We came on a Saturday and they weren’t busy. The customer service was ok. I ordered shrimp head on, potatoes, mussels, eggs and the all in sauce, mild. My husband had the catfish basket with a side of fried shrimp. The food overall was not that good. The sauce taste like it may have been made with bay leaves and some type of tomato sauce/paste or something and it taste a little funny. It’s not close to any of the standard seafood boil taste you’d be expecting, like boiling crab or pier 88. The catfish does not taste like catfish but instead previously thawed out cod fish. Neither the shrimp or catfish was seasoned. The regular fries was the best part. Overall I would give the food a 4 out of 10. I will not be returning and I would not recommend, respectfully.

Food is great but the host in front during the night staff seems as if they don't like taking orders past 9pm. I called the last time and they didn't want to take my to go order, saying that "we can take your order over the phone but we cant start making your food until you come in person. But this time we will do it." Im thinking LOL THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF PLACING A ORDER OVER THE PHONE?!??? I might as well order in person!.... Recently, i pulled up at 9:30 to get some dinner. As I'm at the light waiting to turn in I see the guy outside in the front standing there. As i turn in, I see him look at my car and then grab 2 cones outside, walk inside, and shut the front doors (I'm now guessing that he's signaling that they don't feel like taking anymore customers). At this time it is 9:30pm exactly. I notice this is the same guy who told me that statement over the phone the previous time I called. I get out and walk inside (knowing it's not closing time yet) and ask "You guys are taking orders correct?" He hesitates and tells me they're closed at 9:35pm. I told him last time I placed a order at 9:40pm, drove here, and picked it up no problem.. He hesitates again because he has nothing to say to that and repeats the same thing "Yeah we have to start cleaning so we close at 9:35". I told him okay well then you guys should probably lock your doors (as I'm confused as to why I was able to order the previous time). As I leave I see another customer pull up and walk in to get some dinner. After about 15 seconds I see the customer walk out. He told her the same thing. He then walls out 7-10 seconds after her with a broom and dust pan "sweeping" the floor. Clearly he was trying to assure us that he wasn't lying and that he was cleaning before we got there hahaha...The food here is fantastic that's why I go, but the night shift host seems as if they get lazy once it's past 9. I understand they close at 10pm on their hours list, not 9:35...I've worked in the restaurant industry for 3 years, I understand its tiring, you want to go home, you deal with customers all day, and you need to start cleaning up early before closing time (like every job). But, that doesnt mean you turn away customers because you're ready to go home. Blaming the kitchen having to clean up gets old. I used to do it too when I was working in the food industry lol. And so did the rest of my coworkers. If I was able to order at the time I did last time, I should have been able to order again. Not a huge biggie but definitely disappointing when it was clear as day that the host was lazy and did not feel like taking anymore orders. Especially after driving all the way there just to deal with something so small and inconsiderate. Besides that I love...

Ordered over the phone , pulled in and got out to use the restroom while Me and my kids wait on my food. There was no one in the front to greet, on my way out the door a lady followed me and stood at the door staring at me and my kids as we got into the car . She literally stopped in the front of the door trying to see around the balloons in my car through my windshield . After 5 mins of her starring I finally looked at her and she never looked away, finally I re parked in a different spot not in view of the door as she watched the entire time. Very uncomfortable! Almost made me cancel my order and I should have ! The crawfish (Cajun xtra spicy) was not good at all. I am from Louisiana and I hate when people claim Cajun food and it has no seasoning cooked IN the food! Crawfish is normally 5.95 a lb for us so to spend $16+ on unseasoned food is pretty upsetting especially when I ask multiple questions about how they cook it...
