Poor Service and Disappointing Experience
I usually enjoy Starbucks, but my recent visit to this location was a complete letdown. I waited over 20 minutes for my coffee, which might have been understandable if they were short-staffed. However, when someone who ordered after me got their drink first, it was clear there was an oversight.
When my order finally came, it was incorrect. I politely asked to have it remade, only to be told to go back in line to reorder—completely unreasonable given the circumstances. One barista offered to remake it, but another intervened and handled it carelessly. They dumped out the whipped cream, spilled some coffee, and slapped on cold foam without adding the cinnamon topping I had requested. Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience.
What made this even more frustrating was seeing other customers who had their orders messed up receive free drinks as compensation. I didn’t want a free drink—I just wanted my order done correctly.
The only reason I left without further complaint was that I didn’t want to waste more time there. I’m looking forward to the new drive-through Starbucks opening in Canyon Crest, hoping it will offer the efficient and courteous service this location failed to provide. I explained the situation and he was so kind and apologetic and offered a free breakfast to make up for my experience today. TERRIBLE experience here this morning. Was third in line and it took about ten minutes to even order. The poor guy in front of me just wanted to buy a cup. The customer at the register was trying to explain her drink to the cashier, and I’m not sure which of them was being difficult but regardless once the lady was done ordering, the cashier girl told us to wait and then turned around and spent a few minutes just complaining to her co worker about the customer. Maybe the lady was being difficult explaining her order, I’m not sure. But vent to your co worker later! She was then inattentive and rude to me, never letting me know my transactions was complete. I waited there for my receipt since she walked away, and then she finally came back and said, “once your card is accepted you can go.” To top it off, my very simple order with the only alteration being add extra ice came out with...
Read moreIt's always a hit or miss with this and most times it's a miss. I work at UCR so I usually stop by and grab my drink and food to go that I order through the app. Almost every time I order and iced drink I end up sucking up half the straw paper with my first cup. It's disgusting. I just threw away my drink because of it. It seems like when they are super busy they don't care about the quality of your drink or food. I order my bagel not warmed since by the time I get to work, park and walk to my building it will be cold and almost every time I get it it's warm and over toasted. I've never had a problem like this at any other Starbucks. When this location isn't busy my order is always perfect but unfortunately that isn't often. Spent almost 9 bucks today just to drink straw paper throw my drink away and eat a cold over toasted bagle. And this hasn't happened just once, it happens about 3 out of 5 times I go there.
