My husband and I were here to celebrate our second anniversary, as it's pretty much the nicest restaurant in town now. We were very happy with the food and even more pleased and impressed with our wait staff. We had Sam and her trainee (Karlina, I think... Sorry, girl, if I got it wrong). Sam was jovial and stellar. She joked around with us and the other group near us. She never wrote anything down and got our orders perfectly correct. Because it was our anniversary, we went all out. We ordered the nachos appetizer, which could really be a meal. Thankfully my husband brought them home and ate them the next day for lunch. Then we ordered the special, which was ribeye steak with two sides. There were also salads and warm rolls with soft butter. To say we had leftovers would be an understatement. I pretty much had my whole meal left over, where as my husband, with the hollow leg that he has, ate his entire thing. That said, everything that we ate was delicious. We each got a different potato. The mashed potatoes that I got were perfectly cooked, mashed, creamed, and salted, which you don't find at every restaurant. We have eaten all around the world and have had issues with this. So kudos to the chef for doing an amazing job on the potatoes! The steaks were a little over, as we asked for medium but got more medium well. But that's nothing to deter us from going to dinner there again. I can't rave on this enough! I don't normally write reviews this long, but I felt that this was well worthy of an amazing review. I only wish I would have taken a picture for y'all to see our...
Read moreI think about this hotel/restaurant quite often and it always brings a smile to my face. I was halfway through my drive back to Indiana from Southern California when I finally forced myself to stop at a hotel and freshen up. My Great Dane and I had been living out of my car and hadn’t eaten a full meal in a few days by that time; so when I saw eggs benedict on the menu, my heart fluttered. Lynn had been working extremely hard by herself that morning with a few bus tours and I told her to just take her time, that I wasn’t in a hurry. When she had a smaller break, she sat down and we struck up conversation about my travels and her dogs and all the fun and trendy hair cuts they were getting! (This was probably the first human interaction I had in days and it was so heart warming and uplifting!) Upon getting the check, I saw the inscription on the total line that read “Pd with love”. Words couldn’t and still can’t describe the intense gratitude and sense of belonging I had after one simple eggs benny and a little conversation. Now I’m not sure if it was because I hadn’t eaten in days or if it was the company I was with but this experience of paying it forward will always bring a soft smile across my face and warm my soul a little. So thank you to Lynn for making my quick stop in Wyoming the best anyone could...
Read moreChef Jim is very unprofessional. We are in town for the soccer tournament, ordered pizza for the kids and came into the grill for the moms to eat and have a beer. We were about finished and one of the parents went out and grabbed the pizza boxes with the leftover pizza and came back to finish her drink. He followed her in, repeating over and over that she can't have pizza in here, after we were already chased out of the lobby with the pizza. He came to our table, where we had eaten meals, drank drinks, and were just waiting for our check, and kept repeating that we can't have the pizza in here. We told him it was leftover pizza and we were just waiting for our check. He never apologized, just walked away from us while we tried to give an explanation. 100% unimpressed with our time here and will...
