Rusty Truck — Restaurant in Riverton

Unfortunately our experience was not good. We ordered nachos with ground beef and a southwest salad with grilled chicken. The plate of nachos was huge (served on a 12-inch pizza pan)with lots of chips, moderate amount of melted shredded cheddar cheese and olives and red onion. Came with a small cup of sour cream and one of salsa. We payed extra for about 4 pieces of hamburger meat. There were many more chips than toppings. Nachos came out after we had been there 15 minutes. The salad finally arrived 20 minutes after the nachos. This was after 3 of the servers came by and asked what food we were waiting for. We were seated where we could see the salads being made. I'm pretty sure the young lady making the salads had never done so before. She kept asking the pizza cook what went in each salad she made. The salad was a huge bowl of mixed greens, a small handful of olives, black beans, and chopped tomatoes with about half a cup of diced grilled chicken in one corner. It was supposed to come with tortilla strips but, alas, there were none. The chipotle ranch dressing was spicy and delicious. Salad greens were fresh but the toppings got lost in the huge bowl of greens. The servers were a little apologetic about the delay. I'm sure they were not authorized to offer a dessert or something to make up for the bad experience. So, overall, the food was okay but the serving time was a failure. They were super busy and a little overwhelmed. I saw one guy bring his burger back twice because it was not prepared properly. Several times the server picked up food, took it out into the dining room, then had to go back to the window to figure out where it was supposed to be delivered. Hopefully, this is...

Went on the 4th of July, 2021 so we were happy that one of the better restaurants was open. That sentiment died slowly after we arrived. My daughter called in the afternoon to verify their hours and was told that they would be open until 9:00. We ordered poppers as an appetizer. We also ordered 2 pizzas, a salad and some ribs at 6:44. At 7:05 (ish), We received the 2 pizzas. Five minutes later, we received the poppers (remember appetizers) and the salad. At 7:30 we still hadn't received the ribs. I went to the counter to check on them and was told "They're almost ready." I told them to just put them in a to-go box. We left at 7:37.

While we were sitting there waiting, the staff turned away multiple groups, (we were sitting 1 table from the door) easily 30 people (probably more) after 7:00, telling them simply "We're closed." Remember, we were told over the phone that they would be open until 9:00.

At this restaurant, you order your food at the counter and pay for it. At that time, if you use a credit card, you have the option of leaving a tip. I left 18%. I will NEVER pre-tip in this restaurant again IF we ever go back.

The biggest screw up of the night was that the staff couldn't muster up 1 "I'm sorry" to us or any of the people that they turned away at the door.

$88 for this kind of experience...

This was our first visit. We have been anticipating to go there since we like there sister restaraunts in Lander, Cowfish and Gannett Grill. The place was hopping because of the Fremont County Fair. You go up to the kitchen counter and order and they give you a number and then when it's ready they bring it out to you. I can't eat much because of Bariatric surgery, so we both ordered off the kids meal. Ordered a 1/4 burger with fries and my wife ordered the fish and chips. The servings were very big. I could only eat half of the the burger and a few fries and my wife couldn't finish her fish. We took the left overs in a to go box. Oh, I forgot, we ordered wings for an appetizer and brought 4 of the 7 home. Big wings and very good flavor. While our meals were only $6 a piece, the regular menu was quite a bit pricier. You can get pizza, steaks, burgers and chicken fingers. Very big menu. Loved the decor and atmosphere. On one end of the building there is a full bar and the other end is an ice cream shack. I hope it does good. Like I said the place was packed. We will definitely go back. They have several old rusty trucks outside. I'll leave pics. All in all a...
