Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Roanoke

The food and service have gone thoroughly downhill in the last few months. If you like mayonnaise instead of toppings, then you will enjoy it. Twice now, I have ordered a sub without mayonnaise, and both times, they were drenched with mayonnaise. The portobello mushroom isn't even supposed to have mayonnaise. The first time, they seemed to give us half big kahuna and half portobello, and this time, both subs were definitely big kahunas (although with fewer toppings than normal). So not only can they not follow simple instructions, but they get the orders completely wrong. My father likes mayonnaise, but even he said that his sub had so much mayonnaise on it that it was all that he could taste. I called them to let them know that they messed up the order, again, and they hung up on me twice as soon as I said that there was a problem with my order. When I finally actually got to speak to someone, they told me that they would "fix" it tomorrow. I live 25 miles away, and I was only there to have dinner with my elderly father. Ordered 2 subs. No tubs. Blond hair girl who was supposed manager with highlights nasty. Wouldn't even check me out. Lied and said it was a health department regulation that couldn't wrap tubs which all mine were lids since they were out. She went to back and was on her cell phone. Person who checked me out was very polite. She pretended to call her boss and said supposedly he said "either take them as are or leave them for a refund" I should have gotten a refund because as I got home I had basically no lettuce or tomato, both were made exactly opposite of what was ordered. Couldn't even eat. The service and product has gone to hell in a handbasket. Never again at this store. If I wanted to be served by folks who hate their jobs and passing that rudeness to customers AND make wrong food....stay far far away! Can't wait to report food handling with no gloves and food all over floor behind...

Jersey Mike's is clearly the best Italian sub and the only real deli sub anywhere near Roanoke VA. Thank goodness they opened here! There is nothing like a real sub with fresh baked bread, fresh oil and vinegar, Italian spice, and all the toppings you want. HINT- order it "Mike's Way". The deli meats are delicious, never bologna. I always top with Lettuce, tomato, onion, oil & vinegar, and banana peppers. Truly incredible. Finally Roanoke has a real sub! I will be going back for more. Sometimes I just got to have a real deli sub. Five stars every time. You really need to try this sub!
