We went here on a gorgeous Friday night because they had a good outdoor seating area with a pass-through bar. They have a great selection of beers and a ton of variety of food. We started with an appetizer of the Wise Guys Meatballs which were good, but not outstanding. A little dense and I just got the feeling they were simply reheated and not fresh, but that’s my unfounded speculation. Between my wife and teenage son, we ordered a medium Godfather Supreme (basically everything deluxe), and three personals (Metroport Macdaddy, Untouchable, Flamethrower). I liked the Untouchable most. My son had no complaints about The Godfather. The waitress was friendly but on a night where they didn’t seem that busy and at restricted capacity, it did take forty minutes to get the pizzas. The place has a fantastic location, good atmosphere, good variety and choice, and decent enough food. It’s not the best you’ve ever eaten and not the worst. So enjoy your night on the patio with a beer and some food and call it a win.

Wise Guy’s Pizzeria serves some pretty good pizzas down in Roanoke. Their garlic knots and their goat cheese marinera sauce served with garlic toast is spot on. I ordered the Flamethrower which is the spicy pizza on the menu. Sadly, it wasn’t all that spicy. It’s always a hit or miss with peppers but what should have been spicy without a doubt was the marinera sauce and that wasn’t spicy either. The sauce didn’t even make the nose running a little bit. However, the thick crust was delicious and satisfying and I will give this pizzeria another chance to impress me with a different pizza next time. Furthermore, the service is attentive, the size is adequate but can get packed quickly on a weekend night so come early. Lastly, the price is comparative to Mellow Mushrooms pizza if you’ve been there. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.

I ordered a "Wise Gals BBQ" pizza which their menu describes like this... "BBQ-Ranch combo base, Baked Crisp with Chicken, Pepper Jack and Cheddar Cheese. This pizza is finished with a cold tossed salad of Romaine Lettuce, Black Beans and Roasted Corn, Hatch Chilies, Red Onions and Tri-Colored Tortilla Strips." Little did I realize the clever phrasing meant a salad would literally be tossed onto the pizza. It was quite a shock, and everyone I showed nearly fainted. Being more open-minded, I tried it, and was surprised how well it tasted, although a bit unwieldy to handle. Anyway, I got my pizza via delivery where the driver was courteous and much earlier than promised. I look forward to trying something more normal in the store ;-)

You know... we've been here many times. The food is really good. Good enough for us to drive in from about 15 min away. But, I have the say that the service really was a shame.

I brought the family out for a pizza night and waited a few minutes to be seated. They were NOT busy, but no big deal.

Got seated and server was friendly. We got water then proceeded to sit there for about 15 minutes without anything. Sat there looking over the menu and weekly special. Looking around to see if anybody would take our order. I began to think to myself, do I really want this type of dinner experience? Like I said, there was plenty of staff there and not busy.

If I put in my order, it'd prob be 15 min for the food. I got up to wash my hands and thought if still nothing after I'm back, we're out. Got back and gave my wife the look.

Yes, we all got up and left. I don't think the staff cared or noticed. Instead, we walked down the street to another restaurant and were seated immediately with a warm welcome. Had our food right away and a great dining experience.

If I could provide some feedback to management: folks are forced to be more choosy with their limited funds. Try to make customers feel welcome and not ignored. If any of the staff notice a customer isn't being attended to they ought to try to help and not act like it's not...

We decided Sunday dinner at our favorite pizza pub would be great. We’ve been 5 times and it reminds us of a place back in WI where we grew up. We arrive at 5pm and ordered drinks and an appetizer, once that arrived we decided on a pizza and ordered that. In the mean time 4 other tables of people got sat while we placed our pizza order, from couples to a group of 8. All waited 15-20min just to get a drink order. Then 20 more minutes pass and all the other tables start to get their food…. The food they ordered after ours. Our server hadn’t paid attention and then noticed after they all had pizza we didn’t get ours yet… he hadn’t said anything other than “sorry it’s taking so long” and he did comp our appetizer but it turned what was supposed to be a quick dinner during the baby’s nap window and get home to our normal evening routine to waking out at 6:45 with a pizza boxed to go, still hungry and the baby losing her mind. Pizza was still great when we got home and...
