It was the worst experience ever! Food came cold, specially the rice and meat in the tacos al carbon. . We ordered 2 margaritas and she brought it until after we started eating. Chips container wenrt empty, waitress never came back asking if we needed anything else, i stand up and asked another waiter for it, then he said i will call your waitress, we ordered a guacamole in the miolcajete so basically we waited until waitress finished talking and taking with another table, she NEVER brings small plates, the lady who made the guacamole did! Margaritas were awful, my son wasted $12 to leave the margarita at the table, Manager is very slow and not courteous at all. He never stopped by our table asking if everything was OK. He doesn't care about customers. We made sure to let the waitress know about cold food and she said sorry, it's all!!!! Really? We wasted $85 dlls for 3 people for a nasty awful food with horrible service. I told the lady who came to clean the table about the bad experience and she said the manager was at the main entrance laughing and talking with workers without paying attention to us so I decided to leave because Obviously he will not care about complaints! So unfortunate experience for a Mother's day and very bad first impression for my family. We left angry for choosing such a bad place to celebrate the day! I feel very sorry and sad because my son invited me for dinner, he paid from his pocket for a horrible experience. 😪😔Really I can't not believe how people don't train the workers to treat customers with attention, courtesy and respect. This type of average businesses should be out of the market!!! Please people be brave and report your...
Read moreWe ate at Los Compadres Cantina tonight in Roanoke . This was hands down the best Mexican food I have had since moving here. Everything was very fresh and super tasty. It was a hard choice choosing my dinner tonight everything sounded good. It smelled amazing in there and I watched other dishes come out that looked amazing.
I got the Camarones Baja Tacos Three negra modelo beer battered jumbo shrimp tacos with pickled cabbage, avocado, and volcano sauce on flour tortillas. Served with rice and charro beans. The shrimp were huge! It reminded me of a little place in Cabo where I had beer battered shrimp tacos. It was so tasty! That sauce was bomb too!
My husband got the Barbacoa Tacos Three braised lean beef cheek with corn tortillas. Served with cilantro, onions, avocado, rice and charro beans. I tried a bite and it was so tender! The charro beans were really good too. They had a little bit of spice! I never take those home but took some home this time.
My kids had a kids chicken nuggets ( I love that they have this option because my son is not a fan of Mexican food and only eats chicken). My daughter had a cheese quesadilla, she loves Mexican food. 2 1/2 year old twins approved!
Also I have to add that the salsa was really good. I have not had good salsa since moving here but that was awesome! They also give you free freshly pressed and made tortillas with butter. Which were awesome and very much appreciated! They come with the fajitas, we will have to try that next time.
I totally recommend this place! They said 40 min wait time too and I think it was no more than 10 min. Awesome tasty...
Read moreI really like this spot. The food was great. The queso was good but we ordered spicy and it wasn't. The table salsa was hotter, but really good. Chips were good but similar to many places.
Food was really good and well made, I had the guisada, flavorful and tender meat. The charro beans were good but simple and the rice was ok Honestly I would have rather had more beans. Nachos were interesting, each one was made to be a perfect bite and they were flavorful and you got a decent amount but if you are expecting a plate of nachos all, this isn't it. I'd still recommend it but just be aware.
We tried the Aztec Mule and the Sangria. The Mule was excellent 100% recommend it. Delicious! The Sangria was very strong and more wine than fruit so if you like that, then it's a great drink.
Service was excellent, tortillas were fresh made and all in all a great experience. The atmosphere was nice both inside and out.
I'd say the price for what you get is decent but other than the drinks I'd say the food was good but nothing specific stands out. I'll definitely go back and update once I try more dishes. The atmosphere is great to meet friends and have drinks and have good food. You won't be disappointed in any of it.
You will not be disappointed with the service or the food and especially not the drinks. Definitely a good value spot for meeting friends and just having a...
