I'm stunned. I went to Jack & Grill because of the wonderful reviews. Sadly, I guess I just happened to go on an off day. My friend asked about the burger and the waitress proclaimed that they were of ample proportion and suggested that medium would be appropriate if he wanted it good and juicy. I had a variation of the chicken sandwich, and sweet potato fries. Then the food came... The burger was literally half the size of the bun! It was so small he took the top half off and folded over the bottom and ate it like that. It was also dry, overcooked and without any flavor. Likewise his waffle cut fries were so "crisp" that they cold have been sued as building material. When it came to my chicken; it was so in edible that I couldn't cut through it with the available cutlery. My fries were okay, but just barely, as they also seemed to be following the overcooked theme. Granted we would have brought this to our server's attention but... we never saw her again. Well we did see her, but it was mostly when she was lingering at the bar chatting with a specific customer. So, and I do this for a living, I give the following rankings... Service: ...no idea. There was no service. There was absolutely no service, so I guess on a scale of 1-10 I'll give it a 0. Food: ...understanding that there are starving people around the world I'll try to be kind, but based on the standards we enjoy in America I'll give it 1 our of ten. The atmosphere was actually very nice. The prices weren't over the top, but then again when said food is either inedible or ridiculously small, anything is too much. In closing, it was so bad that we had to leave Jack & Grill and have a second lunch. I hope others have better luck but I doubt we'll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeyond impressed with this place today. First, I want to say THANK YOU for having non alcoholic beer options (Best Day is our favorite brand and they had numerous options). It was great to feel āincludedā with the 53 beers on tap. Came highly referred from friends so today was our day to try it out. We sat on the patio and Garrett was our server. We started with the Jackās sampler which was a 10/10. Boneless wings in a flavorful lighted heated sauce, cubed mozzarella sticks, fried pickles with a jalapeƱo ranch that was amazing, and stuffed jalapeƱos that were bacon wrapped and full of cream cheese. We were in LOVE with this starter!
My husband had the smoked and grilled wings!!! WOW!!!! They were huge. 6 piece is more than enough for a sufficient meal (especially with the starter). The ranch was great too. I had the cheeseburger sliders + Jack fries. You could tell upon the first bite that the beef was of great quality, cooked properly and super juicy, with fresh lettuce and on a perfectly toasted brioche bun. The fries are waffle fries in a seasoning that is superior to what weāve had before. Our entire meal was beyond good and we cannot wait to come back.
Garrett greeted us with a smile upon walking in, the entire time he served us, gave us recommendations and extra ranch when needed. He was a key piece in the success of our meal today.
The bathrooms are gorgeous! Large! Clean! I was expecting more of an underwhelming bathroom, but it was a nice added feature to have a great clean bathroom space.
We cannot wait to return!! Killer experience š„š„š„š„š„š„š„ we highly recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off let me start by saying we are no official food critics but when it comes to food it has to be really bad food or service or really good food or service. This was a very surprisingly wonderful experience for both my wife and I. We visited the Jack & Grill in Roanoke Tx on a Wednesday night. We arrived around 5:00pm and were pretty surprised about the number of customers that were having dinner. We realized it was a little after 5:00pm but again this was on a Wednesday night. We were pleased with the wide selection of options from the menu and our waiter did cover the menu and answered any questions we had. We finally decided on the wings and I had the jalapeƱo burger. The burger was good but let me tell you about these wings. I had the spicy Cajun and my wife had the city slicker. These wings are in our top 5 from anywhere in the Dallas Fort Worth area. The manager Mike explained they are first smoked, then fried, then grilled, then tossed in whatever flavor you select from the menu. But without a doubt the star of the night had to be the loaded tator tots. Hands down the best tots either of us have ever had. These are a MUST try if you like any type of French fry, tator tot type of side dish. Mike then recommended the peach cobbler, this was unique as well and letās just say it was a excellent way to finish our meal. We without a doubt will return quite often. Thank you to Mike and the entire staff for making a otherwise typical Wednesday night into one we will...
