A friend and I came to the Roanoke Library to study for our Nursing school final. They only have two private study rooms with 2 hour limits on the room. We had about 8 books out each studying for our final and we were asked twice to leave the room so someone else could study. That's fine and I understand that we can't have the room all day when someone else needs to study. However, the girl that replaced us and took over the room was just sitting in the room on her phone and not studying. The library also wouldn't let us push tables together or use any other unoccupied rooms. They also wouldn't even let us sit in the Teen section even though it was completely vacant. I will be sticking with our local Saginaw Library because their environment is conducive to learning and encourage learning. We met up here because it was a central location for both of us but won't be going to the Roanoke...
Read moreIt’s a great library, we receive a lot of help; we are able to have our English as a second language class with a lot of resources available for us.
There are several private rooms that one can separate/reserve, where people can privately do their own silent work.
The service is always great, where we are treated kindly.
Many books available, printers with certain amount of copies per day free.
Highly recommended if you like or need some silent time.
There are also some areas for kids where they are taken to play, books and games for them without interrupting the general area.

Recently, I found out that I cold check out more than 40 books at a time..this is just wonderful! They have great Organic Teas complimentary to you as well as coffee. The selection for kids books and dvds are great . They also offer alot of kids activities that my kids regularly...
