Wendy's — Restaurant in Rochester Hills

I just started going to Wendy's this last year. I love the Homestyle Chicken sandwich (when it's done right, it's delicious!) This one use to be great, but lately it's been ridiculous. I understand it's fast food, so know that I'm coming at this from the standard that they should be meeting as such. It's fast food. Not dog food.... I get the same thing every time: homestyle chicken sandwich and nuggets. The last SEVERAL times I've been there, the sandwich is disgusting. The chicken is stringy and hard in spots so it's hard to bite through. I'm wondering if they're not thawing their chicken before cooking it, and then cooking it at too high temps. This happens when you don't have appropriate inventory levels, aren't thawing enough at a time and then cooking at a higher temp to try to get it out to the customer faster. Maybe this isn't the case, or isn't totally the case, but whatever it is, it's disgusting. Usually, I just eat it anyway, stupidly hoping that the next time I come it will be better. But today I JUST COULD NOT DO IT. It was so hard and stringy, I couldn't chew it. I'm also getting accustomed to them not fully heating the nuggets. I'm assuming they come already cooked, and they just either fry them or heat them. However they do it, they aren't doing it long enough. Sometimes the breading is soggy and the chicken has this particular taste that only comes from not frying (or heating) long enough. Anyway....I know it's fast food, but I'm not a fan of wasting even a dollar, let alone 10. I'll be going back to...

I thought I'd give this place another try. I hadn't stopped here in three years because the food, at that time, was so bad. Well, that has not changed! I tried to specify what I wanted on the cheeseburger, but I could tell the person taking my order was struggling with the computer, so it didn't surprise me that I didn't get what I ordered. I was in a hurry so I just ate it anyway. They weren't preparing the hamburgers by the front area so I don't know if it was grilled to order for me but the meat was cold and the bun was so dried out it fell completely apart. There was a Wendy's corporate type guy in the dining room on his laptop and on speaker phone with a tech support or other training person the entire time I was eating in the dining room. That was slightly annoying. The soft drink machine in the dining room was not working but the guy behind the counter gladly got my drink from the drive-thru area. On the PLUS side... The fries were good. The dining room was clean. The trash cans were emptied. And the guy taking orders was VERY friendly, engaging and nice. He was trying hard! He got the rating up...

I don't mind eating Wendy's or any other fast food place but the way this location is being managed during the COVID quarentine has been frightening. They have been serving without masks or gloves since the quarantine. I gave them a couple tries until I finally asked someone why they're not wearing them. Their response was, "we don't want anyone to think that we're carrying Carono".

I sent a complaint on their site and a Director/CEO emailed me directly that they've spoken with the Managers to resolve the issue. I go a week later in hopes that they're serving drive-thru like all all restaurants with drive-thru. Gloves are still are not being worn and masks are hanging on one ear to make it look like they're wearing them....this is TERRIBLE.

I am spent on the number of chances given to this location and I will never go back again. We should be taking every precaution possible to ensure we are not spreading any germs during this pandemic. If cases of COVID do not go down in the Rochester community, I'll know who to...
