If I can give this place 0 stars I would, came in today through the drive thru for an egg and cheese sandwich, after a couple of bites I looked down at the sandwich and it was MOLDY. As anyone would do I went back to the establishment, and asked for a manager and he was very dismissive and very unconcerned about a moldy sandwich that his staff prepared. I asked him how would this happened, as this restaurant gives a mom and pop shop with not much traffic to begin with, how would they not check their food before serving, even McDonald's check their products??? AS A SMALL BUSINESS YOU WOULD THINK QUALITY CONTROL SHOULD BE THIER NUMBER ONE CONCERN. The mold was on top of the croissant, again how was this missed. As I asked the manager again how can this happen, he gave me shrug and said "I'm embarrassed"? In a very smirk manner, he seem like he wanted to laugh a bit. No remorse, no explanation and lastly no apology. I'm not an owner of a business but in this situation I would at least try to make it right, nothing. I asked for a refund since me being there seem like it was inconvenient for the manager and staff. I am a person of color, and I don't want to bring this up, but I felt like I was being treated poorly because of it. Will attach photos, with the moldy sandwich. :) never again. And will probably have tell everyone around me that looks like me as a person of color and wears the hijab never go back there too, since we are not welcome.

When I'm on the road, I always seek out the small diners, especially breakfast. Drove past the Blue Plate diner and thought we'd give it a shot. It really wasn't what I expected, it's more of a coffee shop than a mom and pop diner. It's a nice little place, contemporary for the most part, but not too hippi'fied. A little music playing overhead with beans grinding behind the bar. You order at the coffee bar and find a seat, stick your post-it note number on your table, and they bring it out. For me, the breakfast staple, biscuits and gravy with 2 over medium on top. Not bad, but I'll try another option next time. The biscuits were homemade for sure, almost looked toasted on the bottom. Wife went for the avocado toast with over medium eggs. With a little salt and pepper these were solid, would recommend my home edition by adding crispy bacon and American or Swiss cheese. Coffee was very good as well. Will return, probably this week.

Local, little gem offering up home cooking. Came early and with the adjoining Dunn Bros busy and overflowing onto the sidewalk tables, this diner was relatively quiet. I also enjoy waitstaff service over counter ordering and Ginny was there to pleased. My ham and cheese omelette was stuffed with chunks of smoked ham and cheddar cheese, with breakfast potatoes lightly seasoned and sourdough toast. Food was hot with good portions and plenty of flavor.

I really don't like to leave a negative review, but they didn't earn more than two stars. First, I want to praise the staff for working astonishingly hard. Our server was great, but clearly doing the work of 2 or 3 people. They were very understaffed and crazy busy! Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. My scrambled eggs came out folded like an omelette which tasted fine, but it's not really what one expects when ordering scrambled. The pancakes were the real disappointment, as they arrived at the table too cold to even melt the whipped butter, and they did not have good flavor. I realize that's subjective, but I eat a lot of pancakes and these tasted more like a grainy toast than a traditional pancake. Maybe they would have been better warm. Then things got really bad when our server discovered they were out of real utensils and had to give us plastic. Not even good quality, but the really cheap flexible kind you might find at a convenience store. It was actually quite difficult to eat. Lastly, I need to mention the menu, because it was really poorly presented. It was very difficult to read, lacked good formatting, and confused both me and my wife. I imagine most of these issues could be resolved with more staff. Why do businesses keep making the mistake of thinking they can "get by" without hiring more staff? Yeah yeah, I know hiring staff is difficult, time consuming, and costs money, but I'm not going back to this restaurant because of this, and I can't possibly be the only one who experienced these...

I feel like this review is going to be harsh. I apologize in advance. Some background is that my family has for Generations owned and run diners. I grew up in diners and eating dinner food. So when I go to a diner, there's a certain degree of expectation that comes with me going there. This place failed at every single one of those expectations. The easiest one to address was the service, at best it was lackluster. The person taking the order was at least disinterested, and really didn't know much about the menu at all. I had their bacon cheeseburger, with a side of breakfast potatoes, because they were out of french fries. And ended up buying a bottle of Coke, because I don't have Fountain drinks. The burger and the bottle of Coke came to nearly $20. And if that burger had been amazing, it would have been worth the price of what could have equated to a steak dinner. It was not. It was not as good as some of even the fast food hamburgers, which hurts my soul. For the money, this place is not worth it. Maybe they make better coffee?. I don't know though. I would not recommend this place as a...
