Kingdom Buffet — Restaurant in Rochester

Kingdom Buffet is by far my go-to restaurant for delicious and fresh Chinese food! I've been coming here to eat regularly for more than 5 years now, and I've always left full and satisfied!

There are plenty of food choices that are almost always hot and steaming when you come around for them, unless they've already been picked clean, in which case you normally have to wait only a few minutes before a fresh tray is brought out, always filled to the brim! I don't believe I've ever had to complain about a type of food being empty or cold since they're constantly refilling whatever gets low throughout the service.

Of course, it is a buffet, so it's not as though everything is always picture perfect, but for the very affordable all-you-can-eat price, it's absolutely worth every dollar. The restaurant is always clean and never very noisy, the staff are usually super friendly and fast to clear away empty plates or give you a drink refill, so you're never left waiting like is common at many other similar buffets.

Very importantly as well, the food area is very spacious and properly maintained, so you'll rarely ever find food spills on the counters, or ingredients from other neighboring entrées mixed in with the ones you want. Also, luckily for those of us that appreciate personal space, the layout is setup so that you won't have to rub elbows with your fellow diner while you're waiting for your turn at their amazing coconut shrimp or tasty cheesy crab, phew!

To end off my review with a TL;DR, Kingdom Buffet is easily the best buffet in Rochester for the price, and I've always had a great experience coming here for a nice warm dinner, so if you haven't yet, I highly recommend...

6-4-19 This is an addition to a review from 6 months ago. Came back to Mayo and had to come back here!! Service was great! Waiter was pleasant and checked on our drinks numerous times throughout lunch. Plates were picked up in a timely manner. The calamari salad was cold and delicious(in salad bar) would have had a whole plate full if I hadn’t wanted to try the Mongolian Grill they have. The food was hot and delicious. If your looking for a great place to try, eat here you will enjoy the trip. I posted some more pics to tempt your tummy. Had a trio of pics for the Mongolian Grill (before, during, and after) didn’t even come close to all I could have chosen to add to my plate.

1-13-19 I heard someone say it’s hard to stop eating. I agree!! Japanese chicken, crab meat nuggets, coconut shrimp, sushi fry were had twice! Sampled many other dishes and they all were impressive in the flavor balance. My wife was impressed with the variety of food and FRESH food. We have been to a number of Chinese style buffets and we both found dishes we had never had the opportunity to sample. PLUS they had a Mongolian Grill also. Today my girlfriend, and I were looking for a calming late lunch. We discussed what we were feeling in the mood for flavor, atmosphere, quality, and I had an appetite for variety!

We chose Kindom Buffet! Everything from the the bottom up, top down restaurant management truly understands what professional hospitality, food safe standards appear pristinely in check, and employees are of the highest standards, and appreciate their roles! Though the occasional snooty self important sometimes may be encountered, I observed nothing but grace, and genuine sincerity by staff to appease, and "make right," their customer whom was displeased from what I observed with her budget, and their wine selection. Not sure why one goes to a restaurant to complain about what's in bottle, but each their own!

I can not give praise enough for all the facets of this restaurant that I saw were above par standards in a restaurant setting, especially the sense of community felt from the staff and customers. Something I noticed too, was a quality hibachi grill, and a young masterful sushi artist employed! All the workers seemed exceptionally polite, and hospitable in every regard! I love all that I experienced here again today, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family friendly environment, with a no rush feel.
