Silver Lake Foods — Local services in Rochester

This place was terrible. It's honestly a trap because at first glance you might think wow this place has great deals, literally half the store is on sale. I went around googling things though, and normal prices at Walmart are still way cheaper than their on sale prices. Don't fall victim! Not to mention the entire store also smells like a poopy barn. I walked out with nothing. I understand higher prices at places like Fresh Thyme because they actually have higher quality, good stuff, but going to Silver Lake Foods you'll find nothing but the normal lower quality, crappy, ultra processed, boring blah that can be found at Walmart for way cheaper. So don't waste...

Had to redact my previous positive review. Between them not accepting my credit card (which is current and in good standing) or my debit card (they claimed it was declined, I checked my balance immediately upon exiting the store and it was far more than adequate to cover the small purchase. On top of this, the staff were incredibly rude during checkout, there were a large number of molding or otherwise spoiled/expired foods on display, and the results from getting meat here have been sub-par. Silver Lake Foods is an awesome little local gem. From good discounts, great products as someone who likes baking from scratch it has every little thing I need. The meat department is amazing there's always a new selection of cuts or specials and they sliced a packaged ham for me(which is a great cost cutter if you've seen the disparity in price between prepared meet and bulk meat) I even found a good shoe polish and waterproofer for my boots, that i hadn't been able to find at a big box store.
