My boyfriend and I ordered a sandwich and the lasagna for delivery. While the sandwich was acceptable....the lasagna...... Never In my life have I ever written a negative review for a restaurant. Usually I understand that sometimes restaurants arent gonna have the best food compared to home cooked stuff. I understand that. This lasagna was so beyond horrible that I felt compelled to warn other people. People call me Garfield cause I do be eating lasagna so much. This lasagna is an insult to every other lasagna iv had in my entire life.
It tastes like an infant put Kraft cheese on some lasagna noodles and microwaved it for three minutes. Honestly I probably would have preferred that since it at least that would have been a funny and creative expression of cooking by the infant and a display of interest in cooking. I am shocked that anyone would even serve this. I of course mean no disrespect to any low level worker who has the unfortunate task of creating such an abomination for what I assume will be minimum wage considering the food quality. However, whoever tasted this and approved this to be on the menu. Whoever decided In the upper management that this qualifies as food should be ashamed.
Not only was this lasagna inedible. It was honestly insulting the price I paid for it. 16 dollars for this disgrace to lasagnas everywhere. You can buy two whole frozen lasagnas from Costco for around 18 bucks. When you do that you get two ENTIRE lasagnas and they actually taste like decent-ish lasagna.
Honestly this lasagna was a wakeup call that I need to put more discretion with what enters my body. And I strongly encourage anyone reading this to lower your expectations if you plan...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFantastic food! Very affordable! Bold, rustic flavors, and a "pick two" option that allows you to sample a variety of almost everything. Tried this place out on a recent trip to St Louis, and we will definitely go back. We got everything in the photo (soup, garlic bread, crostinis, 2 half sandwiches, pasta, and meatballs) plus 3 desserts, all for less than $45.
The garlic bread was simple, but spot on, the perfect balance of crunchy and chewy. The soup was a unique and hearty tomato basil with onions stewed down to a thick, chunky, but melt-in-your mouth texture. Think french onion soup, but with a chopped tomato base instead of beef stock. The salmon and spinach meatballs were rich and wonderful, served in a divine tomato cream sauce as comforting as a baby's blanket. The white bean spread on the crostinis was exploding with rosemary, a most pleasant surprise! And the desserts were fantastic! I love that they were small enough to justify trying instead of the big commitment of your typical brick-sized, 6$ hunk of super rich dessert that you have to share with 4 people. We tried the pistachio canoli and the candied orange canoli, which were both excellent, (I highly recommend the orange one) and the amaretto brownie, which my kids said was "the most perfect brownie ever!" The texture and flavor were both amazing! Family owned, and the owner and staff took great care of us. Hospitality as it should be. I suspect you really can't go wrong...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been in Saint Louis all my life but I had never heard of this place, but one night I was so hungry and was craving lasagna (my FAVORITE meal šš) so I decided to get on Uber eats late at night about 10 or 11 and see what places served lasagna, that is when I ran. Into this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered lasagna, salad and garlic bread for me along with a cheesecake. I ordered a sandwich for someone else. When I got my order, the food was cold, including the lasagna. The garlic bread was the worst I had EVER tasted. It is as if the garlic bread WAS NOT toasted at all. It was soggy, lacked a garlic flavor and all I tasted was drenched butter. Omg it was horrible. I took a few bites and threw the entire thing in the trash The lasagna was cold. It had a slight flavor but the the thing I couldn't get over is it was dry and cold. (Pasta House has better lasagna especially if you like a saucy lasagna and sweet šš). The salad lacked any substance it was plain and I just wasn't impressed at all. Now, the cheesecake was scrumptious. I ordered a plain cheesecake. I didn't have the sandwich for myself, but the person that I did order the sandwich for, they said that they liked it. I did not take a pic of the food itself, but I wish I would have. Omg. I was really disappointed with this and spend over a $100 dollars on Uber Eats due to the price shown here but also giving my Uber Eats driver a $20 cash tip in addition to the...
