Worst experience I’ve ever had at any McDonald’s in the Quad Cities!!

I ordered hotcakes at night and the manager rudely snapped “it’s just hotcakes, no egg okay?” I didn’t like the way she said it all. I know people who work at a McDonald’s so I’m aware it’s just the hotcakes which is why I asked for just hotcakes.

Then our food was put on the counter as a to go order and we weren’t aware it was ready. They had given us the number stand which says on it that they will bring the food to us! Then the same manager came over and asked if we order for here or to go. We confirmed it was for here and she snarkily said, “Oh well I was yelling out for you guys to come get it for awhile now” with such an attitude.

I’ve never had a bad experience at a McDonald’s anywhere else in the Quad Cities before so this was really disappointing. On the bright side, my interaction with the other employees was good. Great place for a quick stop for food. I had to stop here for food because it was the closest and most known place for me at this time. I had visited this place before and I always come back here whenever I have business to do here in Rock Island IL. To me this McDonald's seems to have a well deserved 5 star review. The staff here are helpful and seem to always be in a good mood. Also the environment is very clean for an enjoyable time. People come in and go and this place handles it very well. The deals of food here is great too because there is a lot of options. What I had was a Mchicken, large fries, large coke, and a plain sundae. The food was amazing and it sure did fill me up for the next few hours. Also I have noticed that one of the managers here is amazing and like to have a personal one on one conversation with the people, especially with the elderly. The young man who took my order was not rude, but he wasn't really friendly either. He seemed like he'd rather be anywhere else but there. But I get it. He's a teenager and it's summer time. My order was only fries and an iced coffee. It was perfect. No complaints on the food. My complaint is the kids in the restaurant being loud, foul mouthed, and obnoxious and nothing was being said to them by management. As a former manager of a store, I know it's difficult to deal with people like this. But if you want to keep good decent customers coming back, you have to make them feel comfortable and safe. My other complaint is that it felt like there was no AC on in there while it's 90°F outside. I also know in the winter time it's always cold in this restaurant.
