Steve's Old Time Tap — Restaurant in Rock Island

This hidden gem of a bar is nestled in the Rock Island district and has never failed to deliver a good time whenever I've visited. Our favorite bartender is a delight, and we often bring her food as a small token of appreciation when we do get to visit.

The slot selection is extensive and offers plenty of games to keep you entertained. What's more, they have a rare commodity in this day and age: a cigarette vending machine priced at just $10, which is a rare find compared to other establishments that charge exorbitantly high prices for a single pack.

They also have an ATM and Touch Tunes Music for your convenience. The drink selection is great, and they serve ice-cold beer alongside food that hits the spot if you're looking for a quick bite. You can expect delayed service and poorly prepared meat products when ordering from the menu also if you enjoy your constitutional right to freedom of speech being trampled on than this is the place for you! You'll find that a majority of the employees seem to think that they own the establishment and really truthfully have no clue about what constitutional rights are and how they are violated, they are allowed to behave in any manner they so choose because the owner has no interest in the negligent mismanagement of his or her establishment. One fine example is a woman named Tammy who is in her elderly years and is taking it very hard, to the extent that she refuses to be called ma'am even when attempting to be respectful she will get overly drunk and ramble incoherently and claim to care about her customers despite forgetting your name within a matter of hours even when tipping...

So on a Thursday night, my friends decide they want lunch at a dive bar with food on Friday. There are not many "dive" bars that serve food. I threw out a couple but this one ended up being the cream that rose to the top. Have to love a place where the bartender not only serves the beer, but is also the cook. KUDOS tothe bartender this day. She did an awesome job at handling the bar and the cooking. Great place! If you are Rock Island, give this place a try! Been there forever and hopefully will be!
