Boars Tusk Steakhouse — Restaurant in Rock Springs

I've thought long and hard over this review since my brother-in-law is a restaurant owner. My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day on Friday the 9th. We both ordered the ribeye steak with different sides and an appetizer of assorted bread. We both had just water to drink. The bread never came, which would have made the wait for our dinner more enjoyable. When we did get our dinner, then the bread showed up. The ONLY thing warm on that entire table was the bread. Both our dinners were cold. We sent them back, with the exception of my steak. I like it rare, and it was barely lukewarm. I didn't want it cooked anymore and can handle meat on the cool side. Now the issue isn't that the equipment in the kitchen was a problem. I can understand things that suddenly "don't work". The issue is that when the food came back, it was still COLD . The only thing warmed up was my husband's mushrooms. They did not replace the cold potatoes or the cold Mac and cheese. They tried unsuccessfully to reheat it all. You don't reheat whipped potatoes, (yuck) baked potatoes, or Mac and cheese. And, my husband's steak was a little warmer, but not nice and hot. My opinion on the ribeye is, if it was hot when it came, it would qualify as the best ribeye in Wyoming. The flavor was good and the meat tender. And Summer, our waitress was great, such a sweet girl. They DID remove the cost of the bread, and my 2 sides and bill was still $103 for two cold meals, water, and I only got to eat the bread and my cold steak....

First timer here, I had a high expectations I'd heard good things. But that was short-lived because when we got sat we were Sat by the server station so I asked if we can move it's loud and I don't want to see everybody working there was only about zero people in the dining room except for a large top that they had in a different room. When we moved the host told us that our server would be a minute or so she had just gotten a large table. So I asked if we could sit at the bar and she said no problem. There is about 7 to 10 people in the bar three of them were staff one of them was a manager. We waited about 5 to 10 minutes not one person came and greeted us or even acknowledge me existed. So we got up and left on my way out I told the staff to have a good evening when they replied have a good evening back to us are you kidding me seriously. This is the worst service I've had in many many years it was very unprofessional and left me with a bad taste in my mouth so we went to White Mountain Mining it was awesome. I will never goes back to voice test restaurant again and I will tell all my friends...

My food was delicious. I ordered the ribeye medium rare it was undercooked but it was still delicious. I didn't ask to send it back. My son ordered the wagyu and it didn't disappoint at all 0 complaints and it was delicious. My wife ordered the pork and said it was amazing. For an appetizer we ordered bruschetta and again delicious. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars was in my mind overpriced. I would go back for special occasions (this was our 5 year anniversary). Close to five stars but for a $57 ribeye I would expect it to completely...
